Little snug

The cover looks great when installed and so far has done a great job keeping the elements off of the unit. However, as many other reviewers have stated, the cover is a struggle to put on. Even after months of use, it still takes a bit of effort to install it. With all being said, I would buy it again unless i could find another cover that installed easier.

Seems like a decent product out of the box. Very tight fit at first but I expect it to stretch out once it is used in application.

*Attention GREAT PRODUCT..!!!

Don’t believe any of the bad reviews this is a genuine licensed Hummingbird cover..!! Yes it’s tight but it wouldn’t work loose so take your time and use technique when covering your helix 5. After a few hours on the cover will stretch. I highly recommend besides what other covers are available?

nice cover to protect your investment

This is a nice well made cover, it took a little persuading to fit over my helix 5 though but now i dont have to worry about banging up my fish finder which is nice, like i said this is very well made i would not second guess this purchase ever.

We'll see if it's as awful as the other reviews say. Right now it's on and it didn't get ripped in the process. For the price of the fish finder, this should have been thrown into the box. People wouldn't be so upset if this was a freebie.

Perfect Fit! Would recommend!

I was nervous to buy at first because of all the reviews saying it was “too tight” and “ripping at the seam” but I have zero regrets buying this. The fit is perfect for the helix 5, if it was not tight it would not serve its purpose. It’s snug but I had no struggle to put it on. It is a soft cover but it is a nice thick material and is harder around the edges (seen in picture) so it shapes nicely and fits good. I put it on over the bottom first and get the edge fitting into the cover then just put it over the rest of the helix 5. I have no complaints about this and if you are debating on buying this then I recommend that you should just buy it.

I have no idea why people are giving this cover that high of a rating. First of all, I thought it would be like a "bag" of some sort as I had read it was soft. It's only the front. The product is soo tight that when I installed it, I noticed the seam was coming apart. You try so hard to put it on, I was afraid to scratch the lens with my fingers. I was laughing at this product when I opened it. I could not believe Hummingbird would charge 31$ for this. I would not even pay 15$ for it; I will look for something else out there to put my Helix 5 in. First time I return an item to Amazon and it looks very easy. Thank you Amazon.
