A great vacuum!

After buying home vacuums for years that are mediocre at best and last only about a year before the handles break, this vacuum was an improvement. It seems to have better suction than the home options and it has a heavy duty, longer cord that works better for my use. So far so good in it's suction and cleaning power. It does not have the extra swivels and maneuverability of some vacuums but it seems to be more sturdy than those other vacuums.

Vacuum only works for 3 months

We have had this machine for 4 months. Just recently, the machine keeps shutting off and the red light flashes. This is advertised as commercial and we only use it to vacuum carpeted office floors. Of course the the return policy expired last month! How timely! I would not recommend this to anyone.

Vacuums really well; build is a bit flimsy

The pros: the suction on this machine is great; the onboard tools work well. The vacuum is well balanced so even though it's a little bit heavy to be called lightweight, it moves nicely on its wheels. The canister is big enough that you don't have to empty it too often. The cons: the cord could be longer, and the bottom cleat holding the cord broke right away. I've Macgyvered it with a miniature bungee, but the result is that I'm the only one with the patience to put the cord away properly. In a small business, it's a problem if the owner is the only one willing to use the vacuum. I read both the positive and negative reviews before buying, and it seems like they BOTH panned out. The "vacuum" part of the vacuum is great. They cut corners elsewhere, and it shows.

Disappointing….poor build quality..

It’s power cord is bright orange, with the thick gauge (thickness) of an extension cord for powering a freezer. So it is way to thick to fit in the upper cord holder on the handle. It broke the first day. The fit of the plastic pieces is poor, not aligning squarely. The attachments are awkward, poorly thought out. The vacuuming power/operation of the unit is good. It is self propelled and that’s handy. This is the last Hoover product I’ll ever purchase. I don’t think it will last more than a few years, if that. I’d give it a pass.

Cheap material and poor design

I don't understand the lack of logic in components that will have movement/use/wear&tear. The lever that helps give you access to the upper filter was cracked/damaged as it came out of the box. yet the box was NOT damaged. But plastic is so thin at that stress point an bump of it will eventually break it. Already have a plan to duct tape that to the main tube body. The main tube body, where it attaches/detaches to the frame body for emptying, is cheap also. It clasps, but not very firmly and for how long, who knows. Why? cuz it's cheap thin plastic. This is week 1. I can hardly wait for week 52 with this item. Parents had a Hoover from 1970's that lasted twenty + years. I'd rather buy a used one from back in the day than buy this new one. Hover has been around for 100 years. But they can't seem to engineer or QA their material for deficiencies. Don't get it. Thank goodness they are NOT designing anything for NASA. Sheesh.

Not bad

I had an old bissell that was a dinosaur but I loved it. After years of replacement parts and duct tape I pulled the plug to get a replacement. Why did I pick this one? Because of the long cord and claims to be “commercial”. It’s ok. I don’t hate it and I don’t love it. Being lightweight I feel it lacks some in suction. But the cord is long. Accessory hose is shorter than what I’m used to which makes it hard to do tops of curtains and ceiling corners. Not sure how long it will last (my old one was 16 years old and was awesome) but for now it’s fine.

Awesome but be aware of features

This is my second Hoover upright. First one purchased about 5 years ago. First one is reliable and in great running order. This model is for upstairs. I love it. Only caveat is there is no beater brush lever. I knew this going in and it’s fine because my other one has it so I use it for attachments. If this is a sole vacuum cleaner it is not suitable for hard floors. Not suitable for crevices and baseboards etc. it’s for vacuuming carpet - period. It does a killer job. Light weight and much quieter. This review is 100% non-incentivized

extremely disappointed

Used this once a week in a normal sized family home. 14 months (oh look, warranty expired..) in and the brush has worn through the plastic bushings in the frame of the vac. it is now unusable and cannot be repaired without replacing the frame of the vac. Nearly $400 should have been much more sturdy than this.

Excellent machine

We use it in our 5000 sq ft gym. It’s world better than few other popular brands products we used in the past. It can suck way more stuffs with fewer swipes. Very easy to use and doesn’t require much maintenance. Noice level is acceptable too, we use it when members are working out without any annoyance. I am usually too lazy to write review but I can’t believe this beast of a machine has such a low rating, very misleading!
