Sturdy, great height, perfect fit, but it’s hard (obviously it’s plastic). I think it may be “too hard” if you sit there too long.

Right size, height, hard/softness, contour, weight distribution I don’t have anything bad to say about this product. It has been a life-changing experience for me.

All is good with this riser!

I just love this riser; it fits great and the 6' height give me the feeling that I can get up much easier. Would buy again if ever needed.

Great For Use At Hotels - Maybe Not So Great For Home

I've found absolutely NO hotels with "Handicapped Accessible" rooms that work perfectly for someone in a wheelchair. Often the toilet height is no higher than that used by able-bodied people. This product overcomes that issue perfectly for someone like me who has a motorized chair that can rise above the seat to drop down on it and then lower the chair to drop down into it. Prior to buying this, I would have to take off my chair cushion to reduce my chairs height - no easy feat given that the cushions are designed to stay in place - and still it was a painful struggle to make the transfer. CONS: Some hotels have "accessible" toilets that are not flat where the grips of the device fit. So, instead of a flat surface on which to screw in the locks, there's just a small edge. Bottom line - the seat pops lose upon transferring to the wheelchair. Fortunately, I now know to expect that surprise and try to take measures to insure that it doesn't result in an accident. - I'm not sure the hard plastic grips would even hold a flat edged toilet - I haven't been to a hotel yet that has a flat edged toilet. There's simply not much friction there and how could there be between two hard, slippery surfaces? The company should affix a piece of rubber to the grip where it meets the porcelain. I may try to superglue some rubber there. - For the above reason, I can't recommend this for home use unless you have no other option. Thus the 4 star review. But for traveling with a motorized wheelchair - wonderful.

Seat bracket lasted 4 months

Seat was great until it wasn't, 4 months after purchase one of the seat locks broke off making the seat totally unstable. It is now, in April, unable to be returned or replaced. Fifty plus dollars down the drain, so to speak.

How you sit is important.

Pros. Easy assembly. Two large plastic screws. Hard plastic. Very sturdy. Lightweight. Can be easily taken on a trip (save the box for that) Easy to take on and off as desired Price is very inexpensive. Once placed and adjusted to your commode, it can be lifted "popped" on and off easily and does not loose it's holding ability. Stays in place very securely. 4 inch lift. Cons. Hard plastic is not comfortable to sit on. If you are a man, small opening requires care to keep stream in the bowl. (fix = pop it off) If you are a man and need to do #1 while sitting, you have to scoot back as far as possible. Keep in mind if you re doing that while also doing #2 you can't go very far and still have an open bowl. The front of the seat has an opening with a trough taking up space. If you are too far forward you will pee on that and the urine will run on the floor. If you are too far back some of #2 may not make it to the bowl. Solution is to lift the seat off and use the seat that comes with the commode. I found my self having to remove the seat so much that I finally stopped using it. My wife did not like the hard seat and said it was uncomfortable. If you want a raised commode seat I would recommend looking further. However this one is really inexpensive compared to others and worth a try for that reason. And, it is far cheaper than buying a new ADA commode. You may like it. Apparently a number of other reviewers have.

Unless you need a raised toilet seat.Not all raised toilet seats are created equal, I have owned at least 5,this is by far the best. The design must be by a disabled person because it is faultless,the shape,structure,ease of fitting & quality are a delight. Let me help you - if you need a raised toilet seat buy this one;I did and have NO connection with the supplier.

A five star rating which means 'I Love it' - As much as one can 'love' a toilet seat. It certainly does the job, fits well and is a good design. Seems a better design than the first seat that we bought some months ago, which is currently residing in a different loo. Although it arrived on the last day of the estimated delivery time I still recommend this as a good buy.

Life saver...

Having severe osteoarthritis in my knees using the loo was a very painful nightmare. As I'm almost 6 foot tall the loo is far to low and the pressure on my knees was horrendous where I yelp with pain. Saw this and thought whst have I to lose. Ordered and delivered with 24 hours and it was so easy to fit. Only sat on it so far to try it out and the difference was amazing. No struggle to get up and having phone on hand to ring for help just in case I can't get up and stuck. This will make such a difference to my life. Highly recommend.

Solved having to remove stuborn toilet seat bolts.

Purchased this as a problem solver as we could not remove our d shape enclosed toilet seat bolts. This clipped straight on easy peasy. Adjusted the screws to tighten. Absolutely perfect. Saved us ripping out our whole bathroom.

Easy to fix to the bowl of the toilet.

This toilet raiser was so easy to install. Fixes very firmly to the bowl. I’m so glad I bought the six inch one as I have very bad arthritis and now it’s a breeze to get up off the toilet!! No complaints at all.
