Not What I Thought It Was

I was looking for a winter parka to handle my bicycle commutes in the worst conditions that I'm willing to suffer through.......6 miles at -15F. I read the available reviews and thought that the price and the reviews added up to the parka I needed. Upon initial inspection I was pleased with the reflective stripes and overall construction. The coat is well made. I was concerned about the insulating abilities of the thing...it seemed rather lightweight for my needs. First test ride to work........28F...and I'm wondering if I've made a mistake. Cold air is seeping in through my shoulders and upper arms. Same results the next morning. I'm stuck with the thing (I don't do returns). A windproof shell and a warm layer underneath may do the trick. Warm it ain't. It is well made.

Warm Warm Warm

My husband spends hours outside with his job and he absolutely loves this parka. Ever since he had cancer treatment a year ago he gets cold very easily and this parka keeps him very warm.

Warm, almost too warm

Very nice, comfortable and warm winter jacket but don't wear layers underneath or you will cook! I love it! Glad it fits a little big, I can wear the insulated overalls comfortably underneath.

Worth the money

Everyone in my town wears this and I can understand why. It's real warm and heavy. Was still warm in -45
