Waist band broke after a month normal of use.

The pants are ok, but the quality is not what I am used to from Helly Hansen. They are waterproof and I am hoping that at least in that aspect they will last. Unfortunately, after a month of sporadic use by a 5-year-old, the elastic drawstring in the waist band has come undone from the stitching/glueing (not sure if it was actually stitched), and the pants are too loose to stay on. They were worn by a regular active child in the rainy weather, and they are the correct size for her so there was no extra pressure on the waist band. It just snapped and came loose last week when I was putting the pants on her. Sadly I missed the return window on Amazon and am stuck with the defective pants. They will probably be fine after I open up the waist and sew the band in there properly. But really the pants are so expensive that one would expect them to last longer than a month.

great pants for outdoor activities

this is a second pair of these pants I have bought for my daughter. the first pair was so amazing: kept her dry and comfortable outside in our wet and muddy climate. The first pair got a hole on the knee seem (after several months of wear) and therefore, I am only rating the pants with 4 stars... without the hole, the pants would still look good and would be usable for the next child... the size runs large especially at the waist.

These are terrific pants for an active, tree climbing, rock sliding, stream wading, sailing kid. Our first pair size 3 lasted age 2-5. We just bought our second pair.

Awesome rain pants

My wife and I are huge fans of Helly gear and I'm happy to report that their kid gear that uses their Helly tech fabrics is also excellent. They have decent breathability so my 2.5 year old son doesn't sweat buckets in these pants or his Helly jacket even when it's warm out and they're also quite waterproof. Recently my son wore these pants and his Helly jacket on a 1 hour bicycle ride (he rode a balance bike) in pouring rain. I wore "water repellent" softshell pants that got completely soaked during that time, but both his jacket and these pants weren't even damp on the inside. He stayed completely dry and very happy with his bike ride! The only other thing to mention is that these pants seem to run a little big and long for the size. I'd still buy them according to Helly's size chart though as they still work and it just means that they'll hopefully fit just a bit longer

Tja, ich würde mal sagen, was die Wasserdichte angeht war das Ganze ein tiefer Griff ins Klo. Ich habe zwei!! Hosen gekauft, weil ich für den Waldkindergarten leichte ungefütterte Regenüberhosen für meine Mädels brauchte. Habe beide Hosen vollständig imprägniert und habe auch schön aussehende und nur mit Mesh gefütterte Hosen erhalten, allerdings sind sie bestenfalls als dezent robustere Überzugshosen geeignet. Nieselregen ist okay, aber kaum kommen die ersten richtigen Regentropfen dann war's das. Aber sie sind bequem und sehen schön aus. Der Schwarze Besatz ist leider nicht auf den rosa Stoff drüber genäht sondern nur dazwischen angesetzt und so muss ich schauen ob der etwas festere Stoff auch den Anforderungen zweier Waldkindergartenkinder standhält, aber überzeugend ist der auch nicht so recht. Aber für den Preis von je 17€ ist das okay, aber wo die 50€-120€ wert sein sollen, das ist mir ein sehr großes Rätsel.

Wie erwartet sehr hochwertig verarbeitet

Absolut zu empfehlen: Fällt größengerecht aus, ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet, wirkt auch dank der Knieverstärkung robust und es ist sogar ein Ersatz-Fußsteg dabei, da die sich doch gern mal abnutzen bzw. auch an den Ösen ausreißen können. Die Weite am Bund ist einstellbar. Langzeittest steht noch aus, bisher im Garten aber absolut dicht. Die Atmungsaktivität ist gut, wobei auch hier die Kinder irgendwann schwitzen, wenn sie sich viel bewegen, mir ist bisher aber noch keine (Regen-)Jacke/Hose begegnet, bei der das nicht der Fall gewesen wäre, egal ob vaude, finkid, Jack Wolfskin oder was auch immer. Einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag: Reflektoren wären definitiv eine gute Sache, wie sie zB. bei den H&M Hardshellhosen verarbeitet sind.

Buen pantalón para el invierno

Protege de la lluvia y el viento, por lo que es perfecto para el invierno y le queda ideal a mi hijo de 6 años. Lo único que no le ha gustado han sido unas pequeñas gomas que tiene al final del pantalón pero se pueden sacar sin problema.
