High quality child guitar

I wanted to try out the Hape guitar because we already had a Hape ukelele that was very high quality (much better than a tourist shop one I purchased in Hawaii for a higher price), with a nice sound and was virtually indestructible after several years of heavy toddler use. This Hape guitar is also a very high quality instrument, almost indestructible for toddler use, and I'm very glad I bought it. I bought the blue version of the Hape guitar, if that matters. The sound is slightly "tinny" but overall pretty good for a "child version" of a guitar. I feel like I have to tune it fairly often but it's not too bad. The package includes some nice diagrams of notes on the guitar as a reference. My children like strumming and plucking the guitar and play with it almost daily. The neck is a nice size for children's hands.

Okay as a toy, not for serious learning.

Bought this for my 3 year old for her birthday. I knew she was looking for something to just mess around with as she is three, and this fits the bill pretty good. The build quality is actually quite good for the price, and the materials seems pretty solid. However, and others have mentioned, it does not stay in tune at all. Within 30 minutes of basic strumming it's all out of whack. Pretty much not even worth trying to tune it. Again, for what it is worth I am happy with the purchase. If my kid decides to show a serious interest in learning the guitar, I would but something better.

Cool guitar for a vey young child to start with

This is a great little guitar for a small child to start on. It does require frequent tuning but my son enjoys it.

Great guitar for toddler or small child!

We love this guitar! It was the second guitar we got for our 2.5 year old. The first was broken within a week by my husband when trying to tighten so this was the replacement. This one is so much better. It looks great, sounds great, and we love seeing our son play it. We like to take a turn, too!

Zweckentfremdet

Zufällig habe ich dieses Instrument bei meiner Enkelin in die Finger bekommen und, wie bei Drummern nun mal üblich, erst mal ausprobiert, ob man drauf trommeln kann. Und tatsächlich, ich konnte der Gitallele Töne, wie auf professionellen Bongos entlocken. Daraufhin habe ich mir selber eine bestellt, die Rückseite sauber abgeschliffen, die Saiten entfernt, und nutze sie nun mit einem Tonabehmer als Rhytmusinstrument. Zugegeben- der Preis ist kein Schnapper, aber das verwendete Holz scheint sehr hochwertig zu sein, im Gegensatz zu den billigeren Sperrholzartikeln, aber immer noch preiswerter als zwei Bongos. ;-)

Spielzeug ja, Instrument NEIN

Als Spielzeug gut, als Instrument und erster musikalischer Einstieg ungeeignet!! Die Saiten lassen sich nicht richtig stimmen und greifen auf dem Hals kann man auch nicht, da die Bünde in keinster weise abgerichtet sind.

Die "Gitalele" habe ich meinem Enkel zu Weihnachten geschenkt. Ist sehr gut angekommen. Tolle Farbe und Verarbeitung, zu empfehlen.
