Nice, full, and relaxing.

The media could not be loaded. The fittings are high quality (metal in places). It installed easily by hand tightening and was leak-free. The water pressure is good, but not high-pressure / intense. There’s a rain like / pelleting quality to the streams. It’s quite nice and fairly broad for a 4” shower head. I got this as a test of the brand before spending 3-4x on the high end models and I’m not in a hurry to upgrade beyond this. It’s ideal for a guest / kids room, but I’m also happy with it every morning.

Hansgrohe Vernis Handheld Shower Head easy to install but made of plastic

This Hansgrohe Vernis Handheld Shower Head was easy to install. There are 2 spray mode settings: Rain and IntenseRain. Our water pressure was not diminished after installation. Heads up that while the "chrome" finish looks like chrome or stainless steel, it's made mostly of plastic. While I would prefer metal for durability, the lightweight plastic seems to be holding up so far.

Not the fanciest looking but feels great

This shower head surprised me initially by how unassuming it was. It wears its plastic shell proudly and does not try to look like anything it isn’t. There is no faux metal look. It looks decidedly like plastic and the rubber hose looks like a black thin garden hose. However, despite the somewhat cheapish look and feel, it works fantastic. It has two modes: direct and rainfall. The direct spray is more concentrated and intense but still nowhere near the good old days of pre-regulatory shower heads. We prefer the rainfall setting which has a wider spray radius and a gentle soothing spray. The shower head was easy to assemble and although the guide recommends using a wrench, we were fine with hand tightening. It’s leak-free and water flow is good. The hose isn’t as long as some of the other hoses we’ve used and is somewhat rigid but is manageable and long enough for our needs. Overall, a nice shower head for a second bathroom or even a main bathroom if it isn’t too upscale themed. It would stick out like a sore thumb in an upscale bathroom with fancier fixtures elsewhere.

Basic Handshower, Cheap Materials

The design of this hand shower is fine. I don’t need a lot of options and the wider and narrower rain mode switch is the vast majority of what I need in the shower. The thumb switch works well enough and most people won’t get confused. The head does mount a little high so a shorter handle might be an improvement, at least for my fairly typical guest bath. Also, it is just happenstance that I happened to own the 17mm crescent wrench needed for connecting the bracket to the shower elbow. I do not like the hose. Unlike the higher end metal wrapped hose I have in another shower, this rubberized plastic hose does not lie flat against the wall and instead the loop curls up. And the mounting bracket appears to be chrome plated plastic, in just the place I’d expect a hansgrohe product to be durable metal. I don’t expect the head itself to be metal, it would be too heavy but I’d have hoped for a more premium plastic and metal fittings. So there you go, a fairly elegant design executed on the cheap.

Works, but very plastic

Not super impressed by this. It's mostly plastic and feels cheap. Looks fine from a distance but doesn't seem very sturdy. It works well though. So if it holds up, it's probably good enough. But... I guess we'll see. First impression was... meh.

Well designed, but plasticky

I was looking for a handheld shower to replace a showerhead in my main bathroom. This Hansgrohe hand shower set is nicely designed, it came with easy-to-understand instructions, and the installation was a breeze. I am pleased with its elegant appearance, although I think most parts should have been made of metal instead of plastic, especially at this price point. There is a switch located on the showerhead to increase or decrease the water flow, and the spray nozzles are made of silicone and should be easy to clean (something I cannot say of my other showerheads). Overall, it's a premium-looking shower that could use better materials.

Good, inexpensive hand shower

This hand held showers actually works well, but there are two reasons I didn't give it five stars; first, it's all plastic and kind of cheap feeling. The silver plastic hose is ok, but definitely looks cheap. Second, the wand itself doesn't fit snugly in the holder, so the spray doesn't always aim in the direction I prefer, it may move around and point at the shower wall instead of staying in place. I'll probably wrap the bottom of the wand with some clear tape to get it to not move around.
