It's OK - almost matches original in color

have not had to clean it yet - so DK how easy that will be. Flow restriction makes stream weak compated to original showerhead.

Great shower head

My old 2.5 gallon one finally got too plugged up by hard water to change settings. After maybe 15 years or so. And as my wife and I don't use the same settings that is kinda important. This is a good replacement, you can barely tell that it uses less water than the old 2.5 gal one.

Bought on amazon because it was cheaper, not worth it should of made the drive to home depot. Hate them now.

3 way shower head

This shower head is 4" and has 3 positions. Easy to adjust using the outer ring and works well. The quality seems better than other shower heads I've used and I'm expecting this one to last a while. The instructions call for teflon tape to install the shower head. This is annoying for people who don't do a lot of plumbing work. They could have included a few inches of teflon tape at this price. I couldn't find my tape so I just put it on bare and it doesn't leak. So you may or may not need the teflon tape but I'd recommend using it. There is also a rubber boot thing that goes over the back of the shower head. I'm not sure what it's for, the instructions don't even mention it. The instructions are the typical type that have almost no info and expect you to understand it all from a few simple images. The good news is the install is quite basic which is good because all you need is an adjustable wrench and about 2 minutes and anyone can install this shower head. It's nice, I just wish the water flow was better, but I realize it's part of the 1.8gpm compliance. I will probably attempt to remove the flow restrictor, although I'm not sure if that voids the warranty.

Hans Down winner

The media could not be loaded. I have a hard time with shower heads. Look at the wall in any big box store and you will see dozens. Look on Amazon and you will find hundreds. 440, at least, but who’s counting? I wish I could test them all, and I bet I could still only find a few that suits my needs while accommodating SO, whose needs are diametrically opposite from mine. (Due to scar tissue on my back and achy muscles as a rule, I prefer a spray so forceful it hits deep but could peel skin, while wife likes the gentler variety which is so much easier to find. She also hates having to swing the dial through 14 settings to get to that spray, which leads to lively debates, which I usually lose. The Hansgrohe is a good middle of the road for now, it only has 3 settings, naturally one is fine for she, and the two-cone pulse is acceptable- at least in this little rental we now occupy, you’d have to go outside to get a decent distance from the head, Construction and execution is gorgeous, a lovely soft satin, fit up was good and even has a slide0on silicone boot either for appearance or just to cover up the outside of the ball joint to protect it from harder water. It swings through the settings with moderate effort but can still be rotated singlehandedly. I’m not sure this is the be-all for me, but if you’d like a well built straightforward and reasonably priced heard, consider the Hans.

Croma 4 Function Shower Head

The 4 patterns are your typical ones for a multi-patterned shower head. The full spray is my favorite and often is the one set and left to. The small turning knob on the back is easy to turn when new. My concern is that these always seem to become harder to operate as the head ages. Hopefully it will stay that way. These type heads always seem to want more flow and pressure than an average shower can provide. I do think this one from Hans Grohe is on the better end of that scale. All the patterns produced useable results that do a worthy job of their designed task. For the best experience, besides good flow and pressure I would also recommend a shower filter or whole house water filter. If you are going to spend more time in the shower then having less chlorine, VOC's and chemicals in the water is a noticeable and better for you experience. I would say the shower head is very good quality and that is typical of Hans Grohe. This one is more lightweight than their average, but it is easy to install and goes with most plumbing fixture styles. 4 solid stars for a good performer.

Restricted water, easy to install

The showerhead in our master bath was...many...years old, so we decided to replace it. We originally went with a "rain shower" head, because I was tired of feeling like there was never enough water at any given time. And yes, that was LOVELY - except for the part where we ran out of hot water super fast and our gas bill went through the roof. So...we continued our search, and decided to give this a try. The water is DEFINITELY restricted. The only way to get any force is by having all the spray together. The other way is sort of like a rain shower, if you were standing under a baby cloud. Yes, the hot water definitely lasts longer. Yes, I can wash my hair, though it may take a little longer. No, you're not going to get much of a massage from either of the spray options. It works, it's not guzzling water like a thirsty camel, and it doesn't consistently leak like our old one. I wish they had included teflon tape in the package, but...that's a small nitpick. otherwise, the showerhead does exactly what it's supposed to and was quite easy to install.

Good but typical

This is a good shower head, but not "super." The adjustment is easy - I like that. Sometimes cheaper showerheads are hard to turn and lack a nice feel when turning the adjustment ring. This one is nice in that respect. But as to the spray, it is more typical of shower heads in the price range. You get the odd spray that comes from the center ring, the light massage that doesn't work as a massage since the water use restrictions came into being (certainly NOT the fault of the manufacturer), and the "light rain" setting. All OK, but nothing that great. I personally prefer shower heads that are not adjustable but offer a nicer experience for their one setting. On the other hand, the construction is nice -- typical of the excellent construction of Hansgrohe -- and the look is a bit different. If you like the style and color, it is a good choice. Just don't expect the shower spray experience to be anything special.
