One designing flaw but great food processor! Strong!
Basically, I like this food processor. I have been using Kitchenaid for years with the smaller cup inside so vwhen I saw this one with the small bowl, it was the selling point for me. Problem is: I can't figure out how to get the top on it to use it! It's not an easily accessible, no directions type of processor like my kitchenaid was. I dodgy buy another Kitchenaid because they are so heavy for me to pick up when I'm trying to use it. This Hamilton Beach was PERFECT in that regard! It's lightweight and cuts very strong and precise! I LOVE it! The design flaw is in the cleaning of the safety lock on the lid. There's no way to open it and I'm very careful about shaking the water from it really good if I hand wash it or making sure it's upside down in the dishwasher and letting it go completely through the drying cycle. Anyway, the big mouth on the lid gives me and opportunity to use it for a whole or half onion or half bell pepper or whatever. I was looking for something comparable to my Kitchenaid without the heaviness and a good price point. This fits the bill! Just be mindful of the design flaw that I warned you about with the safety lock, because otherwise I could easily see it becoming a health hazard. The four stars are for the design flaw. Otherwise, I would've given it 5 stars all day long!

This food processor leaks & did NOT come with all the pieces.
This food processor leaks out the bottom. I have been trying to contact Hamilton Beach but have gotten no response. Bought this product July 7, 2022 thought maybe I had the pieces on wrong but was told it would not turn on at all if that was the case. Went & bought the same model to find that not all the pieces came with the first model. Hopefully Hamilton Beach will get back to me.

A very versatile food processor at a reasonable price
When our in-house food processor died just prior to a large banquet. We ordered this processor and it worked flawlessly. It has a few attachments that were useful, would not hesitate to buy it again.

Easy to use
Assembly was easy, locking the top for safety was tricky until I figured it out, the unit would not work then presto ! Food gets caught between the blade and the lid when slicing otherwise works great.

This Food Processor is a Joy to Use and Worth EVERY Penny
Iv'e hit a home run with this Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Food Processor It has been a joy to use Iv'e always wanted one, but took about 3 weeks researching them Videos are the best tool. I went through 3 or 4 choices before I decided on this one. My critera was: ease of cleaning, 3 speeds including pulse, big mouth feed for larger items and capacity with minimum of 8-10 cups This one is 12 cup capacity. It has a decent warranty, but purchased an extension, knowing I would use this item a lot! Iv'e made humus and still trying different recipes/ingredients, I make tacos on regular basis shredding cabbage, cooked chicken or pork and cheese. I make numerous cabbage recipes including cole slaw with different ingredients, since it's so easy now . Iv'e sliced tomatoes for sandwiches The slices aren't picture perfect, but good enough with time saving for clean up. I've also started dicing fruit for fruit salads which I have learned to love from the fresh fruit flavor. This Food Processor has become a central part of my kitchen I rated it 5 stars for everything because it has lived up to it's tasks. It's rare I know, to be so pleased with a product these days -I got lucky! I'm going to give a friend for her birthday the same Food Processor. I definately recommend this product!

Great unit for the basics... DO NOT USE FOR LIQUIDS (ex. Creamy soups)!!
I searched for a while to find a good food processor with a lower price tag... and read A LOT of reviews. This was the first food processor I personally shopped for and there are a few design features I took for granted on previous units I’ve used. I’ve had this unit for a year and it still works great! Here are the PROS and CONS in my opinion: PROS: - for it’s size, it’s pretty powerful! - no problem grating cheese, especially parmesan and marbled cheddar cheese (it usually helps to put softer cheeses in the freezer a bit before) - no problem what so ever chopping celery, mincing onions and thinly slicing potatoes, apples or shallots - no problem making smooth hummus or date based granola bars CONS: - Design flaw: the shaft for the blade is built into the unit and not a sealed removable part of the bowl (image #1)... WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? #1. It makes it hard to clean after using the unit, since you can’t just remove it and clean it in soapy water. It also has many weird ridges which are hard to properly clean with a rag. #2. DO NOT USE THIS FOR LIQUIDS!!! Since the shaft is not a sealed part of the bowl and the bowl only has about a 1in lip at the bottom (image #2)... get ready for a waterfall of liquid coming from the bottom of the unit when you hit that blend button, and out the sides of the lid!! - Some people noted in their reviews that food can get stuck in the lid and top of the bowl (image #3)... though I’ve always managed to clean these areas, food can definitely get stuck in these areas and could be really hard to take out. All in all, for basic food processor function, this unit is great! But, if you are planning on making creamy soups on a general basis, I suggest investing in a VITAmix instead (which can also warm your soup at the same time!).

Great value for the price! Powerful motor!
I had a little handy chopper before this. The food processor is so much more versatile, and powerful! I chopped two whole heads of cauliflower in seconds! I was impressed that the architects thought of the suction feet, so the machine doesn't fly away when turned on lol. I was also impressed to find the little cave in the back where you can feed the power cord into for safe, out-of-the-way storage. The bowl has smooth walls, so I can scrape the sides using a spatula very easily. And the pieces come apart easily, and clean up is a breeze. I did put the pieces thru the dishwasher when first out of the box. They came out without a scratch or bend. This is a sturdy processor. Well worth the price.

Works Great so Far!
This is a powerful processor, I used it recently to make banana ice cream as well as pureeing some mango's and it can turn the mango fiber into a delicious snack with baby food consistency, and you won't have to deal with mango stuck in your teeth! It's fairly well built, it doesn't feel cheap but it doesn't feel super high end either. A good balance I think. Honestly it's a great device but it's giant flaw is that the lid is a pain to clean because of the shoot to drop things in, it has 2 parts and when you blend anything that will spray against the sides and top, it get's into a lot of area's that require you to work at to clean, if it also included a flat seal top for those times when you don't need to drop anything more in, it would be perfect. It has the power to do pretty much anything you would need, I haven't tried really hard items so I can't comment on thing's like dough although the book says you probably shouldn't lol for it's price, I believe it's worth it and hopefully it lasts!

Great product for the price.
Bought this for my grandmother for Xmas and she was pleased. Works as it should and lots of perks for the price. Quite large and more heavy and solid then what I expected.

bon choix
Travaille bien J'ai fait de la salade de chou, de la pâte à tarte et trancher des oignon. Fonctionne très bien. je l'ai mis dans le haut du lave vaisselle tel qu'indiqué dans la brochure du détaillant. rien à dire de négatif.
