Just what I needed for making videos of myself looking "cool"!
I wanted to be able to appear on videos while wearing cool looking sunglasses, but most sunglasses are polarized, and polarization (as I found out) defeats many computer monitors, including the one I use! So, i set out to find some "sun" glasses and discovered the world of computer and computer gaming glasses. Brilliant! These were the darkest, and "coolest" I could find, and I'll admit I feel pretty cool seeing myself on video wearing these, and I can still read my monitor just fine. The one this with the "amber max" variety is that it tints everything on my monitor amber too. Well, small price to pay for coolness!

AMBER MAX - they're dark
Why are these blue light glasses are so controversial? Some love them. Some say they are worthless. Some say they are overpriced junk. The last one I sort of agree with. I believe they are overpriced a bit but so are a lot of things branded for "gaming." I've been using a pair of Gunnar Phantom Onyx Marco for the past 4-5? years or so. They do help me with fatigue and eye strain over long periods of time compared to not using them but everyone reacts to light differently. The phantoms are supposed to be very lightweight, flexible and have a full wrap around the eyes. They are supposed to fit under large over ear headphones without interfering with the cup seal. When I do have headphones on, they stay in place but without, they would slide around and I found they kind of just got in the way. Here's where the intercepts come in. They are a bit more conventional with their arm shape. I find they don't interfere with headphones in the slightest. They fit my head very nicely and the nose pads are comfortable for ME. Not everyone is going to like them. They're glasses not a T-shirt. When you go to the eye doctor's office, you try on a dozen pairs to see what feels right because they sit on your face all day. You need to forget your wearing glasses or else they will end up in a drawer. They are sturdy but they kind of feel like semi-cheap sunglasses. The lens wraps around enough to fill my peripheral vision which is important to me. They have less magnification than my old Phantoms which I also like. I got the amber max and they are pretty dark. I got used to them after a day or so but at first I found myself bumping into stuff in dimly lit rooms. They are basically light sunglasses but I like them. I sit in front of 4 large monitors blasting me with light. If you're working on a single laptop inside, maybe don't go for the max. The regular amber will filter out a decent amount of blue light. Here's a quick way you can see how they work! If you have a hue bulb or some other color changing light source, set them blue and put the glasses on. The luminance of the light will drop. Change the light to say purple. With tthe amber max glasses, you should see them change to a pink hue. Teal will turn to a light hue of green. This demonstrates the glasses stopping the blue light from passing through the lens. Its kind of like a B&W photo lens filter for your eyes. One thing to note, If you rely on your eyes to do any kind of color work, don't get a tint. They will shift the color a bit as stated above. The amber's will shift very slightly and the max's will shift a lot. It seems obvious but I figured I would just put it out there.

Maximum Protection
These glasses saved my eyes! I own two other pairs of Gunnars and have been wearing them everyday for years. I’m in front of multiple screens 8+ hours per day and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to tolerate for this amount of time. I decided to give the darker lenses a try to switch things up and they are life-changing. I felt immediate relief and only wished I bought these glasses sooner. I also use them while looking at my phone. Because they are darker, colors on the screen will have an amber tint but it’s not that noticeable and doesn’t interfere with my work. So far, I’ve noticed that my eyes aren’t as fatigued or dry and I’m no longer straining. This model comes with Gunnar Focus, which I was happy about because it offers slight magnification that helps reduce eye strain. I also feel extra protected because this style covers more surface around the eye. I’m forever grateful for Gunnar and recommend them to anyone who wants maximum eye protection.

Headaches Are Gone
Yes these will make things darker. Yes people in zooms might ask why you're wearing your sunglasses. But above all... these things cured my HORRENDOUS eyeball migraine headaches. Just get them!!!

Relieving eye pain after 4 years of trying different methods
I am a programmer and computer, research scientist. After 15 years of programming, I started to feel pain in my eyes 5 years ago. I got awful pain that nothing could prevent it. I began to try blue-light filter software (such as f.lux and night mode on mobile), blue-light filter glasses (the light ones), and eye lubricants. None of them worked until I tried these very dark glasses. The problem is completely solved. The upshot is that I got eye neuropathy due to computer overuse. So blue light is bothering my eyes a lot, and without these glasses, I go back to pain again!

They now call me "the dude"
My days revolve around staring at the screen, my mind and eyes beaten by the blue light. Even with nightlight on, and blue pulled from the monitors color controls, my eyes would still feel like crap at the end of the day. I was getting routine headaches, and I'd have a tough time focusing at far objects after work. I thought it's just an aging process; after all, I'm now 40 winters old. In a desperate attempt to save my good eyesight and my sanity, I decided to bite the bullet and get the Amber Max. I immediately put them in after receiving the glasses by my friendly Amazon delivery driver. My whole perspective of life changed, and with that my attitude did as well. On my first virtual interaction with another human, I was immediately greeted as "the dude". I now speak slowly, with a deeper voice, and walk around in my boxers and a beige Pendleton. Life is good!

Tienen aumento y mucho color
