They will transfer black dye initially
These are what I use almost all year. I was sad when after a few years my other gloves broke down and my fingers were coming through holes. I finally retired them when I lost one on the trail at an endurance race. I had this back up pair, but didnt want to use them yet because I know initially they do transfer some dye. I was thinking maybe I could wash them in the future first- but anyway, they are really nice otherwise. I ride a lot, and they last me a few years. Only gave 4 stars because of the dye issue- but it does stop doing it after a little use.

These are my "go to" riding gloves for fox hunting and all around riding.
This is probably my third or fourth pair. I have big hands so I wear a size 10 (I am a guy). These are comfortable and durable, I ride a lot and ride hard when hunting.

Inner ink bleeds
I got a black pair that bleeds the ink onto my skin. The inner seams also leave deep imprints on the back of my hands after 30min. Other than that they do keep my hands feeling cool which is why I bought them.

Soft but strong, great for driving
These make excellent summer driving gloves! The string back makes them perfectly breathable on a hot summer day. It's no wonder gloves like this were the choice of auto racing drivers in the 50s and 60s. The leather on these gloves is amazingly soft but it doesn't seem fragile at all. The leather also feels much thinner than it really is, so even the reinforced areas aren't bulky and don't interfere with your feel on the steering wheel. I have worn these on a few very sweaty days already, and they are not getting stiff or showing any other signs of damage from the perspiration. So far they are holding up much better than actual "driving" gloves that I have tried.

Not the gloves I remember
Edited to reflect more wear time. After extended wearing, the finger length is just too much of a hindrance. The extra material catches on everything or gets pinched in everything, shifting the glove enough to require adjustment. When it isn't actively caught on something I'm constantly fiddling and worried about them getting caught on something instead of concentrating on the task at hand. Stuffing the fingertips or getting long fake nails (as suggested by a friend-bless his heart) is just not feasible. So, sadly, while I wanted to love these gloves and make them work, it's just not going to happen. Heritage needs to market these riding gloves as strictly for men and not unisex. (Though to be fair, I have tried on and bought men's gloves that had no where near the abundance of finger length experienced with these gloves.) I did not change the stars as, other than being waaayy too long in the fingers, the seams are well constructed, the crocheted backs are soft and neither too thick nor too thin, the leather is supple, with good grip, and does indeed increase in feel with wear. That is enough to garner 3 stars. In future I will definitely stay away from buying gloves online that are unisex and are not specifically specified as women's. ---------------------------------- I have to agree with another reviewer. Not only is the "pinky" finger an inch too long, but so are all the other fingers, except the middle finger. It's like the glove was constructed using one measurement for every finger. There is also a strange twist to the construction that makes the hand feel somewhat contorted. While there is nothing to be done regarding finger length, like pulling then inside, out sewing the finger tip to the desired length and trimming the excess. I am hoping the leather will, with use, compress a bit for better feel, but also stretch a bit to relieve the awkward tension on the hand.

Comfortable, order 1 size larger
I got these gloves to wear in stores during this covid19 virus. The cotton backing is quite comfortable, and the leather on the palm side has broken in after a few uses and feels good. I hardly notice I have them on, and the leather works on touch screens. I measured my hand and ordered gloves that size, size 8, but they were too small. So, I returned them and got the next size up and it fits fine. I wish the leather side was a bit larger, but I've gotten used to it. Some of the fingers are a bit long, but that's just the way of most gloves for me. Given the quality of the materials (good) and the price (under $20), I'd say these are well worth it.

Breathable and comfortable
These riding gloves are so good that I bought two pair. Affordable price, quickly shipped and very comfortable. They fit to size and provide a good grip for the reigns.

On the tight side and already coming apart
We just received the gloves. Despite using the size chart, we find the gloves are on the snugly side, but ok, they fit. However, less than five minutes after receiving them, the velcro on the closing strip has already separated from the plastic. Will glue, but really disappointed. Low quality for the price, so we are subtractin one star for each problem.

Slightly large, otherwise great
Slightly large, I'm usually a 9 but an 8 would've been better. Leather palm is also slightly stiff and slippery, but now that I've oiled and broken them in they're nice and grippy.
