Not durable
I like the gloves but they are not durable. I cut the straps off after 2 weeks of good use. Velcro is shot. You better use the pucks at all times or you will put a hole in the fingers like immediately.

Perfect Slide Gloves.
I have been longboarding for over a decade now and i have used alot of slide gloves but i always come back to trip8 because they seem to be the most durable while still breathable. keep your fingers up when sliding! pucks last a nice long time and the velcro will still be sticky even after years and multiple pucks worth of use. These gloves are also perfect "Bail" gloves, lets just say your hands will thank you for falling with the gloves rather than without.

4/5 stars because they shred!
Got the right size. The straps and comfort are exactly what you want for bombing hills. The pucks coming with the gloves have lasted through hundreds of slides throughout the summer, and I’m looking to replace the pucks now. The durability of the fingertips is my only deduction. The Kevlar fingertips are A1 and I scrub the concrete waves because of this, the touchscreen accessibility still works but is iffy (I take responsibility for this because I love running my hands on the streets.) Recommend.

Not much to complain about. Save your hands get em.
Fits my large hands. Could use finger sliders to avoid damaging the material on your fingers but with practice you can keep your fingers off the concrete and you have more mobility in the hands without them when you aren’t sliding or slowing down. Very glad I got these makes me feel much safer. When crashing I always go hands first so the slide pucks take a fair amount of impact force, then your onto your knees, arms and hips which need their own protection. Even if you don’t plan on getting fancy with sliding I feel every longboarder should wear these or similar to stop yourself on the hill that’s way faster than you thought it would be.

Exceptional gloves
When I got my freebord about 3 weeks ago, I immediately knew that I was going to need slide gloves. So I shopped a bit and I found these. I also found another pair by triple 8 with a finger and thumb puck as well, but I chose the more dexterous option. The puck does what it’s supposed to, slide, and provides just enough friction to create a point on which you can pivot. The fingertips are indeed Kevlar but it’s thin, and the thread retaining the Kevlar is not itself Kevlar. That being said, if the gloves are being used properly you won’t need them. The puck has hook Velcro on the back, and the gloves themselves have the loop pads on the palms. The palm side of all of the fingers are leather, however only the index finger of each glove has leather on the back as well. This gives the gloves breatheability that I quite like. I bought these as a protective measure for my hands, not as a platform for trick slides, and they have done this job nicely. The other gloves might be better for learning, as they won’t get ripped up as soon.

So-so construction,
Gloves are solid enough for sliding, but the materials are not sufficiently robust to protect back/sides of fingers in a crash. I did an unintentional superman at around 12 mph after tangling with a storm drain and touched down with my right pinky. Fabric on the knuckle more or less vaporized and left me with some gnarly road rash. Avoiding that is why I wear gloves... Especially at this price, these need more durable fabric or overlays on the back of the hand. Also, the stitching on one index finger tip missed the edge. It's not a hug thing, but it does show subpar quality control. I wouldn't purchase these again.

Solid gloves fingers tear easy so be careful with them
Gloves are very comfortable, mesh back so it breathes nicely. Only problem I had was after a couple uses I found if I accidentally hit the fingers on the ground while sliding they rip. If you have a problem with your fingers hitting the ground I'd suggest getting the gloves that have the palm and finger pads.

there nice and slidey but be warned.
There nice and slidey. They don't drag you to a stop which is what I like about them. But since the edges of the puck are squared be careful on really crappy roads. As I was sliding the edge of the puck got stuck on a crack on the road and almost pulled my shoulder out. I still managed to put my hand into the right place before taking a nasty spill

Fantastic
This product is great. The reviews stating the gloves are tearing are from beginners that don't have experience using slide gloves. Keep your fingers off the ground just use the puck on the floor.

Expensive and rip easily
Nice gloves, but they have holes in just a few uses all I can say is I’m a bit disappointed in the price :(
