My Absolute Favorite Broadhead
LOVE these broadheads and will never use anything else, unless I have no choice. I have been using these for approximately five seasons now and have had excellent luck with them. They are for a compound bow that shoots at least 65lbs, so if you are under that, these may not perform well for you. I have had blood at impact site with every deer I have harvested with these heads. I highly recommend if you are looking for a good mechanical broadhead. As a side note if you do purchase these, the blades close back up after exiting the deer, if your arrow passes through of course. Exit holes are normally the size of a tennis ball. They really are a lot of fun to use. Helps make a marginal shot a lot more lethal.

Awesome
Amazing broad heads. The devastation and trauma Caused is amazing. I shoot 70# draw and shot a quartering buck at 40 yards. Entered just in front of right hindquarter and exited low behind the left front shoulder. Complete pass through. Arrow was sticking in some soft mud. Here’s the important part. When you pull the arrow / broad head out of the ground or anything that gives a little resistance the broad head will close and give you the impression that it didn’t open. These broad heads are designed to fall out of animals on shots that don’t pass through this allows more blood to escape the animal. I hit low and did a modified Texas heart shot. The lack of blood was troubling. I can tell you that the lack of blood and amount of trauma actually inflicted did not add up. The actual trauma caused was insane. Regardless the deer didn’t get far and left half of himself along the way. Reusable and no collar needed. Recommend these to anyone.

The blades really do open when they hit a deer.
I had been out and up in my stand a few times with no luck. Then, one sunny Saturday early afternoon, I spotted a deer in the back yard. I grabbed my bow and went out on the basement patio. The deer was thoughtful enough to mosey over and stand in front of a block target I had shot hundreds of times from where I was standing. It was 30 yards out and nigh impossible to miss. With my Outlaw, I loosed a Reaper SS tipped Mayhem 350. It passed through the deer and in to my block target. The deer jumped a couple times while attached to the block by the arrow. The block and arrow dropped off, the deer ran 40 yards in to the woods and stopped in a ravine. It left an easy to track blood trail. Now, understandably, you may harbor skepticism about the veracity of this tale, so I have uploaded a couple of pictures. See the pictures of the aforementioned arrow in the block target in the "Product Images from Customers" section for this broad head. I can state that, in this case, the Grim Reaper Razor Cut SS Whitetail Special 2-Inch 3 Blade, 100 Grain mechanical broad head fully opened in the deer. The blade cuts in the block target prove that. I just hope that next season; more deer will stand in front of my target....

Not very durable
Please read this review entirely. First of all I am the type of person that spends hours reviewing hunting equipment, especially archery. Many times I read The one and two star reviews and think....well maybe this person does not know what their talking about. Many people gave this broad head great reviews. I was excited to try them out this season. The broad head for me flies just like field points, all the way out to 50 yards. The broad head oppened on contact every time. A week ago I shot a big mature (3.5 yr old) buck broadside at 20 yards. I hit the deer perfectly double lung close to the pump house. The deer went 70 yards and expired. Luckily I was able to see where he went into the thicket so I could track in that general direction. There was a fresh blanket of snow at the time I shot him. When I climbed out of my stand and went over to the arrow I cloud not find any blood. The broad head was missing a blade as well. I went another 15 yards and found a few small drops of blood. I was puzzled why there was so little blood especially after reading all the positive reviews that other posted saying a blind person and so on could follow a blood trial with this broad head. I began to follow his tracks in the snow and found only small drops of blood. Soon after I found the deer and observed that the entry and exit hole was small. I know the broad head deployed properly because I process my own deer and inspected the entry and exit. I could see where the broad head passed in between the ribs and cut into them. I believe that the two inch cutting diameter is to big and not stout enough to punch throw bone the way a broad head should. Thankfully there was snow on the ground at the time I shot him, not because I wouldnt have found the deer but my thoughts are what if it were raining, night time, etc.

Excellent, though it is baffling that the blades close back up...
Finally got to try these on my crossbow (have installed on my compound and my crossbow, but first shot out on the crossbow). Hit a 4-pointer right in the chest and went all the way through. He ran about 30 yards and dropped fast. These are definitely weird - just like other reviewers said, when I picked up the bolt, only one of the blades was out. I was a little miffed, but when I looked inside the deer's chest, I noticed a perfect triangle where all 3 blades and entered and exited the animal. With such great results, it will be hard to consider another broadhead. I also love talking about hunting with anyone who will listen and found a couple other users of this product, one of which is a local archery store owner who said that he tells his customers that if the deer runs more than 100 yards, he'll give them their money back. I can see why...
