Reduced my Pellet consumption, but made a mess of the grill

I used the insulation blanket on my new Traeger when the temperature was 34 to 36 degrees. It worked GREAT! I know Traeger only recommends it when temps are below 32, but I intend to use it when temps are below 50, and grill temps are below 350. I have done smoking before on a Masterbuilt Smoker and it is hard to smoke when it is below 50. This blanket held the temp so even and it was windy too! I would definitely recommend it for smoking in chilly weather!

Necessary in cold climates
This blanket is necessary when living in cold climates. Worth every penny when you have your smoker going and it doesn't add several hours to your smoke because of loss of temp. Helps save wasted pellets by maintaining temps needed!

Hesitated to purchase due to bad reviews but I'm happy with it.
I'm thinking ones who complained about melting straps installed the blanket the wrong way. I do not see how straps would melt when installed correctly. This definitely helps with cold weather smoking! Good quality product.

blankie for my grill
With this blankie I use way less pellets when it's cold out. Did an 8 hr at 225F chuck roast at Christmas in 20 degree weather, only used a normal amount of pellets. Temp goes crazy at first, then steady as she goes. Give the cold grill a few minutes to figure out what is going on. The temp rises rapidly at first with this additional insulation. I should get my money back after 2 winters. We use the Traeger a lot. Looks good and fits well.

Front straps melted while grilling.
Used this thing one time, and the straps that attach to front side of grill, 2 or the 3 straps melted and broke. Contacted Traeger and they are sending a new one. Blankets are only rated for a max temp of 350°F. Will update this review when I get the new one tested out.

Game Changer!
If you own a Traeger in cold weather, or even in mild weather, you have to get an insulated blanket designed specifically for the Traeger. This has saved our son from burning through his pellets in freezing Montana weather! It also keeps the temperature consistent which is obviously important whilst grilling. It also protects his Traeger from the environment!! It’s the gift that keeps on giving. 5 plus stars.

its good with one minor detail
The cover is great and it stated it would fit my Traeger however the slot where the handle is cannot be covered properly as it doesn't fit. Other than that it's great.

Still early, but nice product so far
I have not had this for very long, but it works as advertised. If you follow the instructions and only use the insulation blanket when temps and instructions are followed, you should not have a problem with h straps melting. This product is great to keep extend your Traeger season.

Kept temps within 2-3 degrees in cold weather be sure to read instructions there’s certain temps you can only cook at with it on as well as outside temps it will melt to ur smoker if you don’t follow Roll that smoke!!!

It does save on pellets and increases the smoking season
While this does definitely increase the use in cooler weather, it still leaves the ends and the bottom without and insulation cover. Overall I am happy with the purchase but I hope in the future they consider making a full insulated cover that does leave areas exposed.
