Cool book, but very few pages for the price
Fun companion to the Green Toys plastic toys (which are amazing, by the way). However, the book is quite thin for a $15 book. I wish the author and publisher had given us another eight or so pages for the money. Great graphics and a fun story, but a poor economic value.

Not the best book in this series. The other ones are better.
I have read three books in the Green Toy series of children's books, and this one is my least favorite. The story is just too weird and dull. I have read it to a couple of my nephews, and they didn't seem to care for it, either. This is one I would take a pass on if you are looking at books in this series.

... to go along with green toys boats (which are awesome by the way)
THis is a cute little story book to go along with green toys boats (which are awesome by the way). The illustrations are nice, the story is entertaining, and there are some lessons to be learned for the little ones (sharing, innovation, overcoming challenges, etc). This book probably isn't ever going to be a Caldecott winner or be looked back upon as a childhood favorite, but it serves its purpose well of both entertaining and education a child.

Should have ended differently
This is a colorful book. I’m not a huge fan of the story, though I don’t know if small kids will really care. One duck is reckless. .. One is less so. In the end, I think the story should have ended with the ducks building more boats. . . and employing more of their duck friends. . . instead of building speedboats. It would have been a MUCH better ending “my way”. There are quite a few “big words” in this book which will take time to explain. That’s not a bad thing. . . just a comment. I like that it’s printed in the USA with soy ink on recycled paper. .. but I still think at fifteen bucks, it’s quite expensive.

Cute book that sends a good message
I like that this book sends a good message. I like that it is made from 100% recycled paper and printed with soy ink. The book is nicely written. It has rhymes and is a charming story about a duck delivery service. It has a nice message. The pictures are very well done, and are adorable. My children enjoyed this book as a bedtime story. It is an easy read. The book itself felt like it was good quality. We got other books in the series. It has some funny parts, which the kids enjoyed. I would recommend it.

Cute book about boats...
Very cute book for little boys. This brightly colored, rhyming book about boats is sure to entertain, and may even interest reluctant readers with its cute characters and interesting subjects.

Really really dumb
This has to be the stupidest kids book I've ever seen. And the kids agree. The writing is so bad: it's all in singing rhyming verse, and most of the verse doesn't scan. The concept is pseudo moralistic, but makes no sense: two ducks have rafts they fill with cargo to bring to a third duck across a body of water. One duck packs neatly, the other is a mess and loses the cargo. The neat duck builds them both big roomy power boats and that solves the problem. Huh? And how is this Green in any way? I won't even donate this, it's so bad -- it's going right into recycling. How did this thing even get published?

Cute Artwork, Silly Story
The art work is cute with bright, pretty colors. The story which features some enterprising ducks who confront challenges as their delivery service grows is nonsensical. Written in a semi rhyme, it is often clumsy and awkward. Luckily, the age group this is created for is not especially picky when it comes to stories. The colors and art will attract even if the story does not enchant.
