Great update on an old favorite for kids & grandkids!
The phlat ball has been a favorite of our kids, now our grandkids, but the 25+ year old phlat ball finally locked in the open position. The smaller version phlat ball about the size of a softball isn't as interesting to our family as this clone of the old one. This larger phlat ball, a bit smaller than a volleyball, is soft on the outside and readily compresses surprising the thrower and catcher when it will open. Thanks for bringing this old favorite back to the market.

Nice throwback
So, the jacks, the jump rope and the hoop and barrel didn't go over too well. I thought, what else could I show my kids from my childhood, and this popped up as a suggestion. Cool, right? A ball AND a frisbee! They were skeptical at first, probably because one of them stepped on a jack a few months back, but after giving the Phlat Ball some use, they had a blast. Just a word of advice-- you DO have to play with it a bit to get it loosened up so that you can throw it further than .6 feet before it pops into ball form.

Was slightly disappointed
My 7 year old wanted one for her 8th Birthday coming up, I have seen these exact things at my local Walmart for 9$ but I looked on amazon for a red and yellow one being they're her favorite colors, was okay with spending the extra to get the red and yellow combo being they’re my daughters favorite, but when received the color was actually red and blue, again not like the picture advertising the product and the colors were the only reason I was okay with spending the extra on this, could’ve just went to Walmart and got the same thing a lot cheaper. Disappointing. But hopefully she’ll look past it and enjoy it when she gets it for her Birthday.

Better Design Needed
My son was excited to get this for his birthday(Had been asking for it for months). After playing with this in a grass backyard and landing on the ground the inside suction cup broke off(Plastic). This suction cup is the critical piece of this toy to go from ball to disc. With the failure point of the entire toy being so small this piece should be more robust and be metal to prevent breaking. After some thought I drilled through the top and inserted a screw into the round suction cup stem reattaching the suction cup and have saved the toy(See Picture). Please consider a design improvement at this high failure point.

Commercial a bit misleading
We must not have paid enough attention to the commercials. My kids and I thought that you throw it as a frisbee and when you catch it, it transforms into a ball; but that's not exactly what happens. There's a suction cup inside that you must set first by firmly pressing down on the Phlat Ball and it opens sporadically, sometimes even before you throw it! My 5 year old finds this funny , and also a little frustrating (depending on his mood)! It's also a hard plastic so we always play it in the grass rather than our driveway. Also, manufacturer suggests putting ball in the sun for a bit before you play it for the first time. Fun toy , just not exactly what I expected.

Read directions
This is a fun item for the kids. Some people say they won’t stay pushed down long enough to toss it. You must follow the directions and then it will work well.
