Fun learning
Owl is a nice educational toy that entertains children by playing with them guessing games and introducing fun facts. The game is simple, just answer Owl’s questions by pressing the "yes" or "no" buttons on its belly until guessed what's on choosing card, but it is a good way to develop kid’s listening skills. There are 56 colorful cards of three categories with familiar words. 16 red cards are vehicles (rocket, airplane, bus, canoe, race car, etc). 24 green cards are animals (monkey, fox, bee, owl, flamingo, etc). 16 purple cards are places (classroom, forest, kitchen, movie theater, pool, etc). Unfortunately, guess because of a fresh print, some cards were stack together and got messed up after splitting them.

FUN
This keeps my boys busy for a little while! It’s neat how it can use the card you have! Recommend for older ages.. about 5-6.

Interactive and fun learning plushy
Great learning toy for my 2 year old niece. It is fun, educational and interactive while being something plushy to cuddle with.

Very amusing toy
This is a new take on a fairly classic gimmick. You get a soft-ish owl doll that is similar in size and sound to the linkamal Fisher Price line (but not compatible with them). This is similar enough that it does fit in with those toys. It's got a plastic inner body so it's not necessarily a stuffed animal, but my daughter does hold this when she sleeps sometimes. On the back of the owl is a cute little backpack, perfectly sized for a pack of cards (slightly smaller than a deck of playing cards). This is great presentation, but if your child destroys cards, that backpack will be too wide and the cards will fall out. It's smarter to just leave the cards in a safe place unless your kids are older or less destructive than mine. Once batteries are installed, there's no need to power it on. Just hit one of the two buttons (the green check or the red X) and the owl asks you if you want to play a game. You can confirm with the green check, and even very young children can figure this out. The challenge is not operating this toy, or understanding the clear bright voice acting. (which I found particularly well done). The challenge is how accurately your child can answer the guesses. The owl plays a game that's very similar to 20 questions (though fortunately it's never needed 20) and asks the child to select one of the cards from the deck and then answer if this is indoors or outdoors, in the water or sky, etc, yes or no style. For my daughter (who is only three) we go through these questions together as a family, seeing if our daughter understands the concepts, and going through the games. It's worthwhile to let the owl lose sometimes, as it's designed to account for that, but it's also great that the abstract thinking skills tend to advance as the questions go on, so your child might know if something is inside, but not understand if food is made at a farm, etc. I really like how this toy helps my children develop a longer attention span, and basic analytical and listening skills. It's also just a fun toy that can take up a several minutes before my daughter loses interest. Even without understanding the game, it's a fun owl that is designed for rough handling and will last a long time, much as I expect from this brand. For the price and the general well-thought-out nature of this, this is a great gift and a great value.

This cute educational guy keeps my kids occupied for a while
My kids are having fun interacting with this “smart” owl. It is pretty accurate in guessing after asking 5 questions each round. It provides an easy and fun way for little ones to learn or gain knowledge by just answering “yes” or “no”. It also shares fun fact after the guess. But just for some cards, not always. So far, I have not had silly jokes from this cute little owl. It did play a little music as the kid chose not to play the game again. I like the little backpack holding all the cards, but it would be better if the backpack had a top cover.

Great toy, even for smart kids!
My toddler is exceptionally bright. He gets bored very easily with most toys for toddlers his age. He just turned 3 and finding things that engage him for more than a few days has been challenging. I love that he can't just push buttons and bypass milestones, there aren't bright flashing lights in his face, and it's not too loud. There are two volume settings and the lowest is just right for us. I appreciate the louder setting for busier households, or for toddlers and families who may have hearing challenges. The cards are sturdy and the pocket to keep them in is nice. I would have loved a flap to secure them better, but the pocket itself is better than nothing. Battery life has been good so far. He has played with this toy almost daily and after 2 months, we have no decline in function as if the batteries are dying. It does tip over easily, so we usually tuck his feet under a book to keep him upright when we are using him. It took just a few quick sessions for our little dude to figure this out for himself. Now he loves playing the "Guessing Game" with his owl! Super toy!
