Overall this is a decent product. It's workable. MATERIALS: The neoprene used in it is not as thick as that used in Ace brand knee braces, but it is thicker than some store brand braces I have tried. The back of the knee has a mesh panel, which increases comfort as that is an area that braces tend to have material roll and bunch up in. Initially the mesh panel was scratchy and uncomfortable but after a single hand-wash it was much softer and more comfortable. DESIGN: The shape of the brace is basically tubular with possibly a slightly wider top. Now there is an issue with fitting for any knee brace, especially for a large person. Some braces for very large people have almost a funnel shape to accommodate when the leg above the knee is much larger. Choosing the right style for your leg, and the right size, is important. Though I measured my leg carefully and bought the indicated size, I feel it is a bit too loose. After sweating lightly the sleeve becomes slick and easily slips down off my knee when I am active. I think that if I had gone down a size or if it was made with thicker and stiffer neoprene it might have fit better. I am considering buying 1 size smaller and giving that a try for activity but I'm going to re-measure and try to estimate how much the neoprene can be stretched without becoming too tight.

While this seems like a good item if you can get the right fit.....it ran too large even after sizing down one size based on other reviews read here. Didn't care for the netted area behind the knee but others might. Didn't wear so easy to return.

Knee Help

My Orthopedic Dr. says I kneed a knee replaced. I have found that this and topical anesthesia helps put off the inevitable. Have gone for a number of months using these combined. Good product to get you through the day.

So-so. Or not.

It doesn't sag down on my calf, but it won't stay up on my thigh either so it ends up bunching up around my knee. Haven't really had it long enough to make too many other judgements but my first impression is about a 2 1/2 star impression. Take it or leave it. I'm sure there are better products out there. I've actually returned this item as the bunching up at the knee became more trouble than it was worth. Additionally, the mesh panel located behind the knee was uncomfortable and a huge irritation.

Suggested by my Orthepedic Doctor

This knee brace is much easier to use than those you have with Velcro that wrap around. Unfortunately, if you don't get the right size, they slip down the leg a lot. My orthopedic doctor recommended a knee sleeve to help support my knee (disconnected ACL Ligament). In summer it gets hot but otherwise it is very comfortable and easy to use.
