I like it

Seems very high quality. It’s bulky. Got it for kayak duck hunting. We’ll see how the kayak paddles wearing it. We’ll see how my shotgun shoulders wearing it. The life jacket pad is covering the shoulder. Might take some getting use to. I like that the back pad is a thin piece of foam. Should be comfortable to sit in my kayak seat with. There’s no washing instructions for this jacket which my wife was annoyed by. I’m guessing it’s a spray it off with the hose type deal. Looking forward to getting some use out of it fishing in the spring.

Good PFD

Got this to replace my PDF while duck hunting from the kayak. With a heavy jacket and PFD it was so bulky it made kayaking difficult. The floating jacket is bulkier than my jacket but less than the jacket with the PFD. I will probably use this for all my colder weather boating kayaking now.

Should I ever need it this coat will be there for me.

At an outdoor expo I spoke with some guys from the Corps of Engineers about cold weather boat safety. They had bright red and yellow float coats and recommended that as a duck hunter I buy one. When I found out there were camouflage float coats I was sold. This coat has closed cell foam insulation. The same stuff they make pool noodles with. The insulation is thickest around the core, but it does extend into the arms. Movement in the coat is comparable to my parka that I have hunted with for years. It has durable stitching at the seams as well as sturdy zippers. I have used this on a few duck hunts and have been pleased. A very cold boat ride back to the ramp with lots of frozen spray tested this coat for leaks and the coat performed very well. The thing I like most about this coat is that should I ever have to actually use it as a life preserver it would do double duty insulating me even while I was in the cold water. My only gripe with the coat is that it doesn’t have a hood. Also, being a duck hunter I could always use more pockets. But, both of those things would have increased the price of the coat.

I ordered a large and they sent a large. Only problem is their size seems to run a little small. I wear large everything in my hunting clothes. This coat actually fit my son who wears medium clothing. So their sizes may run on the small size. But they delivery was excellent. It came a day before promised, which was exceptional.

Great float coat for working around the waterfront.

Coat sizing is spot on, provides warmth and is not crazy expensive as some others are. Great to throw on in the colder weather very warm!

worth every penny????

Used this coat this year moose hunting this fall warm and comfortable keeps the wind out was about -10 on the water going to and from blind .would have gave it 5 stars buy . The last day of hunt the front pocket button fell off .magnetic closures would be better.

Amazing customer service!!

I had bought this as a gift at Christmas, I wasn’t aware that the person I had bought it for already had a float jacket. The customer service that went along with my return was over and above what I had expected as I have never done a return before. The jacket itself was a great product and was sorry to have to return it as it looked amazing. Would use there store again without hesitation!

Exactly what I was looking for

My expectation for a flotation jacket was it would be a bit larger than a regular jacket. This one is exactly that although I do not find it too bulky. Its pretty compact for the security it provides. I use mine to hunt late fall on a larger lake using a yak. Needed something more safe than a rain jacket with traditional life jacket which I found more bulky to shoot with and anything to delay hypothermia is a great benefit. While this is not approved for Canada I feel safe having this device on all the time with an approved flotation device by my side. Hope never to need it but two flotation devices are better than one on larger lakes.
