Good replacement for my old Oakley jacket

The size (XL) is a little big, especially after reading other reviews of similar sized individuals. A large would’ve definitely fit me better but unfortunately they were sold out of that size. It’s OK because once you have gloves on and a sweatshirt or two, it will be all good. My old Oakley jacket of 20 years finally started to fall apart. First off what I like: it definitely is better insulated and is actually lighter than my old jacket. What I don’t like or miss: my old Oakley zipper was super chunky and industrial with huge thick teeth, that would zip no matter what snow condition you had. This zipper seems like it definitely won’t last the 20 years my old one did but I guess nothing is built like they used to. I also miss the detachable hood. It was a nice option to take on or off . All in all I don’t see this jacket lasting to 20 years like my old one did, but still seems like an excellent jacket especially for the price.

Exactly what i was looking for

I love this coat! Its very warm (keep in mind i live in North Dakota and at the time i wrote this reveiw it has been -20+ for the last week... Not to mention wind chill adding to that) and fits exactly how their size chart says. I really like the color, style, and functionality of this coat. The only thing i would change is the hood. Its a deep hood, which I like, but it doesnt have an adjustment strap or way to adjust the way it sits on my head, and it hinders visibility when im using it. Other than that, i definitely would, and do, recommend this coat to anyone who enjoys warmth without having movements restricted by a bulky jacket.

Just beautiful, but wide sleeves

It is just a perfect jacket. The sleeves are wider than the rest.

Perfect

I got this jacket this season for snowboarding and it was light and extremely warm. I get cold normally pretty easy but this jacket kept me warm on the slopes. I even had to unzip my sleeves to allow air to flow. The average temp was about 26-29 degrees. I highly recommend this jacket!!

Sizing does not work

I ordered Small according to the sizing chart but the jacket was too small for me. In addition the hood is too big even to accomodate a helmet.

Great jacket

Got this jacket to replace my older model of the same jacket. I love it. It’s sized a bit bigger than the older one but still fits and feels good. Too bad it will be a year before I get to really try it out as winter is already over here in South Texas.

Fits a wee bit big

I am quite fond of it, even though it does fit a wee bit big. But, I will be waering a sweater or sweatshirt underneath in the colder weather, so it's not a big deal. It seems VERY water-proof as I was just out in a downpour while wearing it for the first time. It also has a good amount of pockets. The quality is exactly what I've come to expect from Oakley.

寒い冬、シャツの上に羽織って街に出るには最適なジャケット

海外の方もレビューしている通り、これでスキーやスノボはちょっとどうかなぁという気がします。ただ、真冬のタウンユースでこれほど頼もしいジャケットはあまりありません。某有名メーカーらのマウンテンジャケットをいくつか試着してみたのですが、どれも中にちゃんと着ないと寒いんですね。あくまでも耐水耐風性に特化していて、尚かつ軽いから秋口から春先まで使えるよ的なものが多い印象でした。ところがこのジャケットは中にある程度の保温材？が入っている上、マウンテンジャケットほどでは無いとはいえ耐水耐風も優れています。そのため「肌着・シャツ・オークリーのジャケット」の3枚で冬を過ごせるでしょう。現に、12月の寒空の中で自転車を走らせても全く寒くありませんでした！その上、脇と袖と胸にジッパーが付いています。これは脇の蒸れを解消してくれるのと、袖は自転車の鍵を収納してくれたり、胸はスマホ（カバーをつけたXperia1Ⅱ）を収納できます。地味に便利です。ちなみに同値段帯で売っている某ユニ○ロのジャケットには無い機能でした。注意点としてはサイズがかなり大きい点ですね。自分は180cmのガタイの良い成人男性ですが、それでもMサイズが結構大きめです。最初は試着でLサイズを頼んだのですが、腕が指先まですっぽり収まってしまうサイズでした。あと、マジックテープとジッパーの感覚が好みでは無い点を加味して星-1。それでも気に入っているのは、やっぱり体温調整が容易な点ですね。これ1枚羽織れば冬でも暖かく、これ1枚脱げば（あるいは前を開くか脇のジッパーを開けるか）蒸気を逃してくれて暑くなることも無い。ダウンジャケットのように嵩張って邪魔になることも少なく、とても便利です。良い買い物をしたと思います！
