Great Fit!

Color: Nocturnal Solarized Tonal I'm 5'8' and weigh 145 lbs and bought the large size. The fit was perfect and I liked the longer length. Unfortunately, I don't like the color so I'm returning it.

Works well but runs small

I bought this jacket for my commute to work, which involves a moderate amount of walking. I haven't worn it in pouring rain but have stayed perfectly dry in a steady drizzle. I love that I can fasten it with zipper or snaps or both, and the zippered pockets are perfect. The hood took me awhile to figure out, but I got it eventually. I also like the ability to make the cuffs tighter so my arms stay dry. The only thing I didn't like about the jacket is that it runs small. I'm a solid 2x, and that's the size I bought (the largest one available at the time), and the jacket is snug. It fits fine over one layer, like a t-shirt or long-sleeved tee, but it starts to feel tight if I'm wearing two layers, like a t-shirt and a light sweater. So if you plan to wear it over any kind of extra layers, I'd say definitely size up!

Singing in the rain with a 2 way zipper

This is the best rain coat and light weight but strong and a comfortable with a beautiful flow fit ! all my Columbia coats have been handy helpers really functional but wonderful to wear !!!

Perfect for pear-shaped plus sizes

I was on the fence about this jacket for a while, but I ended up wearing it during some rare on-going rain in New Mexico. The temperature was in the mid-80’s , which usually doesn’t feel too bad here in the arid high desert. But when you add humidity to that, it can be beastly. The coat was completely waterproof, but totally breathable as well. I didn’t feel hot or sticky in it- usually a problem with these shell- type coats. As some other reviewers have noted, the fit is unusual. But if you’re an extreme pear shape like me, who has a three- size difference between the top and bottom, it was a perfect fit. I got the size 3X. It fits like a 2X on top, but flares out and fits a 3X on the bottom. So, if you’re more top-heavy than bottom heavy, this is *not* the coat for you. I love the two way zipper. Not so crazy about the way the hood rolls up. It would’ve been much better if they used a zipper to contain the hood instead of a loop with Velcro to roll around it in the back. It makes for an awkward collar. But other than that, this is a great little coat.

Women's jackets can be difficult for me with wide shoulders and larger arms so I sized up and it fits perfectly. Very happy

Perfect rain coat

I haven't worn this in the rain yet, but I love it! The XS fits me perfectly and it's even flattering. I like the long length to keep me drier. Also love all the features -- the adjustable hood (adjustable in the back and sides), the adjustable arm cuffs, the security pocket, and zippered hand pockets. I bought it for a trip to Ireland, and I can't wait to wear it! Very happy with my purchase, and the price was lower than on the Colombia site.

One of my favorite jackets

I have had this jacket for the last half of 2018 and I love it. Kentucky has moderately rainy weather and I work in a hospital. When I get into the work, my day starts immediately and I do not have the ability to spend 20 minutes in the restroom fixing my hair or drying my clothes. This coat has been fantastic! It covers below the backside, so I do not get the seat of my pants wet with dripping water. The fit is snug, tucked in a little at the waist with velcro at the hand cuffs which is great for the windy days. The pockets are durable, I have yet to rip one by shoving my hands in, which is a bad habit I have that results in pocket tearing within months usually. There is a inner pocket on the L side at chest level which I will use to hold keys, cash, or are a very small wallet when I go to shows and do not want/need a larger bag. The hood has some adjustability to it, and it is the only thing I find about the jacket that I wish I could tweak. The hood has velcro on the back to adjust the position it rests on your head, but unless the elastic cords are pulled tight at the sides it has a tendency to fall back off the head or completely cover my eyes. I usually have the wear the jacket fully zipped and the hood tightened during heavy rain or hold the hood a little closely to my head if I do not have the jacket fully zipped. Regardless, this is a fantastically light jacket for rainy weather and has some heat value for chilly weather. I layer it with sweaters on colder days but do switch to a winter jacket as we approve freezing temperatures as it is not a jacket for the cold. Its a light jacket, easy to carry on days that it might rain so I have few days that I come out of work and have to race to the car to avoid getting drenched than my coworkers do!

Had for over 2 years, and it works great

I've been using this jacket in the worst snow and rain conditions. I recommend sizing up so you can add layers in the cold. It works great, keeps me warm-- I wouldn't wear this in warm raining conditions because you can heat up real quick. I once accidentally ripped a portion on the front when jumping over a playground fence... but then I patched it right up and it still is great. Acts like a rain jacket. Looks like a rain jacket. Feels like a rain jacket. 5 stars.

Fantastic Coat - sized up

I read the reviews and I am so glad I did. I usually wear a large (size 12/14) but really like clothes that are not tight. I am 5 ft/ 5 amd weigh 150/160. I ordered a XL. It fits! Even if I took off the 20 pounds I am working on this coat would be perfect. It will allow for a light fleece or sweater and be very comfortable in the arms and shoulders. Many reviewers mentioned the shoulders and hips being narrow; I would agree! I have small shoulders but a good sized bust.....this fits and is comfortable. I would recommend this coat. It is going to be perfect for my 6AM walks in the northwest where we love rain.

Very practical

Buy a size up for room for a sweater underneath and you will love this coat. It is fitted but very practical with all of its features and keeps you very dry in the rain.
