Bought to make Lucille, its yarn not plastic...
It says pliable plastic but its actually made of yarn...like string with a mettalic coating which I'm going to spray paint and splatter fake blood on anyway, I'm coplaying as gender bent Negan from the walking dead and the outfit is nothing with out Lucille... I bought a foam wood grain baseball bat as well so I'm excited for the final product! I'm still working on it and feel like a dork of how badass it feels holding it lol foam and all

This is a great, cheap and versatile prop, but I thought it was real... I ordered the wrong stuff, lol. Not sending back though, will find a use. :)

I was disappointed in how it look when I got it
I was disappointed in how it look when I got it. While the length was good for me personally, the way the "barbs" look was quite sad. They were just tied in knots and weren't correct at all. And while it says it's made of "pliable plastic material", that is not true. It's just some type of soft rope/string combination. It holds the spiral shape well and looks nice, but the barbs are blunt and because they're the same string material. I gave it three stars because I can work with it, but as far as it being "realistic" looking: it's not. I decided to change it myself and tie the barbs how the were supposed to look by simply untying them, and gluing them with fabric glue. Which looks better. I included a before and after picture of how it came, to how I fixed it so it could be seen up close what it looks like, and you can see how the body is loose and untwisting itself. I'd definitely buy it again if it were made how it was said it was made.

Some reviewers said it didn't look like barbed wire and was too "costumey." Yes, it is meant for a safer alternative to real barbed wire. And once installed on your TWD prop (because I'm sure that's what most of the buyers are doing), it looks awesome. You can even touch up a few spots with a metallic marker for highlights to really drive the look home. Up close, yes - you can tell it is twine, but it is a safe embellishment that works out well.

Soft and flexible, looks real though
Soft and flexible. Spray painted mine black to match my outfit. Used them to wrap around my legs over panty hose. Worked well. Needed 2, one for each leg. This is not stiff. This was for a modeling competition reality show based out of St. Louis. It's called Local Ambition: Season 4 and will air online Sept 21, 2015 at alwayslate.com. Come watch me!

Making Lucille
I thought it would be thinner material like string, and shiny like silver, and longer; it was thick like cord, not shiny, gray, and covered 1/2 area I thought it would on my bat to make TWD Negan's Lucille ;) but looks good nonetheless.

Good prop, needed silver look rather than the usual rusted look, however at £6.75 it was pricey enough (rusty look ones are around £3). Just came to buy more and its now over £10, sorry guys no dice.
