Easy Use
Very easy to get started and use. don’t really know the accuracy yet, only used it on a few rounds, but good so far. Looks great and is just the right size. Most other Garmins are larger and while they offer more features, they really are too big, at least for me. All good so far.

A great improvement from previous model, but..
I've had the previous model for several years and one inconvenient feature was when you search for a golf course and it came up several minutes later, if you didn't act on it then, it reset itself and you had to start all over again. Very inconvenient. The new model stays on the found course until you confirm it, so much better. It is more difficult to navigate such as changing holes (which you need to do often) or looking for hazard information. It's also best to set the time allowing the GPS satellite to do that for you, otherwise if set manually, it will be wrong the next day. All in all a great improvement and a good buy.

Died in less than one year.
Bought this about one year ago, but I did not use it for the last 3 months. Took it out today and its dead, and wont charge. It had good batt life while it lasted and was accurate. Update - I changed my rating to a 4 from a 1 because I found this reset instruction: How to Reset an Approach G12 or S12 Press and hold the Power. Wait up to 30 seconds until device powers on/off. Release the Power. Now it appears to be back to normal.

Helps your game
I got the S12 and played my first round with it a few days later. It is by far the best golf accessory I've got. It replaces every app, range finder or sprinkler head you may be using to establish distances on the course, and it keeps score simply with no need to type something in on your phone or use a pencil. As a course management tool it is just fantastic. I can't enough good things about it. It is very light, the band is comfortable and I can replace the band with any 20mm watch strap I want since its a traditional lug design. All in all I'm a huge fan of it. Get one.

Incredible battery life.
Basic watch, but great battery life (I've played 5 rounds and it is still half charged), gives front and back and middle of green. Slim and not bulky. Only criticism is it is sometimes slow to connect to a course, though not sure other watches do it faster.

Wow! What a long charge!
I recently moved and am stuck living out of boxes. I could not find my old gps watch and decided to buy another one. This watch is very light weight, so you sometimes forget you are wearing it. It is very easy to use and locks in on a new course very quickly. The accuracy appears to be the same as my old one, and is usually the same or within a yard of the gps on the cart on courses that have them. This also allows me to keep my score, and save it as well. Other features include distances to hazards and bunkers, shot distance measuring, and a cool sunrise and sunset reader [which helps when you're trying to calculate whether you have enough time for one more hole!] What impresses me the most is the length of a charge. On my old gps watch I was able to get two rounds in before recharging, but with this one it barely moved after several rounds! I have read that it can go 30 hours in gps mode before it needs recharging. I would highly recommend this product.

Battery Life is Incredible
I have always used a laser yardage gun to measure distances. It broke this year so I decided that for a similar price, instead of going for the rangefinder, I'd get the Garmin S12 instead. I've used it for multiple rounds and I have to say, it is absolutely the right purchase. What I've loved: 1. Tracks distances in all my nearby courses very accurately. Gives me yardage to the front, back, and middle of the green -- all I need for ballparking my club selection. It also gives yardage to 200, 150, and 100 yards in. Incredibly useful if you like to play golf from the hole to the teebox, instead of just smacking a driver on every Par 4/5. 2. Track your score, and looks for trends by asking for penalty strokes, misses right or left, # of putts. Found this very useful for looking back on a round to see where I lost strokes. 3. Track your distance. I now know my regular distance with certain clubs by using the yardage tracker -- easy to use and intuitive feature that seems quite precise. 4. The battery will last you a month, even if you leave it on. I bought this thing two+ months ago and I've spent about 2 hours charging it. It lasts forever. I am very pleased I bought this over a rangefinder at a comparable price. Has everything you need.

super accurate so far
I've played three rounds with this watch so far. two of those rounds I played with a partner using a laser distance finder. We were never more than a yard difference when standing next to each other on the fairway. this thing switches to the next hole seamlessly so far, and keeping your score is super simple. the distance tracking for hazards also seems to be spot on to this point. It acquires satellites pretty quickly (15-30 seconds so far) and syncing with my phone happens very fast as well. I like that it keeps basic stats like whether you hit or missed the fairway off the tee, and which side you missed on, how many putts you took, greens in regulation etc. tracking shot distance is easy as well. I read many reviews where users stated "I had to push three buttons to track distance when my previous model blah blah blah was easier". Honestly, its so easy this is not even a real complaint. Would a colour screen be nicer? maybe. this unit already does more than I was expecting it to, so I'm not sure what else I would need in a golf watch. for the money, this is excellent value.

A good golf watch for the money.
I had to contact Garmin initially. For some reason the watch didn't know the golf course it said it was on, but after a few minutes over the phone, Garmin walked me through a factory reset and the watch is working fine now. Like anything new, it takes some time to learn how to use it, but it is straight forward and overall I like the look and presentation of the watch.

Worked as described
Found it easy to read even in sunlight. Very light weight. Found course quickly. Changed holes automatically quite well. Used it twice and was very happy with it.The only problem I had was connecting to the phone. I have an iPhone 6 with the latest update. It wanted a later iOS than my phone would take so it wouldn't connect. I guess you need a newer phone to connect it to. That was my only problem.

Lo regrese porque no cumple con lo que indica, hay que pagar una aplicación mensual para utilizarlo y no funciona como smartwatch
