Great mat
This mat is perfect for sweaty yoga sessions. It is very sticky. I have been using it for a few months now. I do use mat refresh on it occasionally to make sure it does not lose the tacky feelin. Mg.

Good for the $
I like the thickness and the non slip feature. It has a few bad spots where surface is missing, hope that doesn’t indicate that it will fall apart.

Love this mat
The first one I received had some visible scratches on it. I requested a different one and received it almost the next day! I love this mat. My hands and feet are typically sweaty and I do intense yoga. This is the only mat I've found so far that my hands and feet don't slip!

Very grippy, even for someone with sweaty hands!
I’m pretty new to yoga, and before purchasing this mat I had been using a super cheap one. My hands and feet get VERY sweaty and they kept slipping on my old mat. This mat is perfect though! No slipping at all. The texture feels smooth so I’m not sure how it maintains traction, but it does. I’m definitely not a yoga expert, but so far this mat has worked great for me at home.

affordable mat that, so far, has sticking power
I've only used this mat 3 times, but it has been great, even in hot yoga - I don't slip at all. Upon opening the package, I wasn't very optimistic, but when using it, I do not slide at all. We'll see if it holds up. The only things that I don't love is that I wish the mat came in an extra long option, and it seems more narrow than my Manduka mat. But for the price, it's been a great mat!

I love this mat
I am so glad I opted to purchase this mat after my old, no-name mat stopped being grippy enough. After reading reviews this seemed to be the mat that suited me best: grippy, cushiony, and available in my favorite color, purple. The price was reasonable as well (no way I was going to spend over $100 on a mat). While the instructions tell you to let this mat air out for a couple of days before use, I didn't notice any scent unless I was face down on the mat, and even then it's not strong. The only down side to this mat is that it's not longer. As a 5'9" tall woman I have to shift often to get the right amount of mat depending on the pose. My previous mat was 3 inches longer and even then I could have used a little more length. While there are longer mats available, they don't come in the range of colors. Ultimately I'm glad to have a mat that I love even if it's a bit short.

This is a wonderful mat. I practice both hot flow and more traditional non-heated yoga and this mat has been amazing for me. My previous mat was a thicker, cushier Kulae mat - and I loved it - but needed to use a towel with it for hot yoga, which is annoying, and I was having a lot of trouble in balance poses due to it's exceptional cushiness. Mat towels are very annoying to me. At the beginning of practice I have to mist them down with water before I start sweating, then they shift, bunch, and even stick to me instead of my mat as I move. I hate having to break focus to adjust my towel - and I've tried several towels. This mat actually wicks away your sweat itself. It's pretty great. It is VERY grippy regardless of how moist my skin is. At the beginning before I start sweating it's just as grippy as later when I'm dripping sweat. I do bring a small hand towel with me to mop the sweat off of my face and neck, just because it's annoying, but this mat soaks up all of the sweat that I drip onto it without any change in grip. It is very dense and supportive, so I was expecting it to not be as comfortable as my previous mat - but once I got on it I was surprised that it does have a little bit of give for your joints, but is firm enough for balance poses. It's a great balance. I'm only 5'3" so I technically don't need an XL mat - but I sure do like having it. I really appreciate the extra space that it provides me. It also keeps me from having to worm and inch my way around the mat so that I can make sure I'm always on or over it. I haven't had it for very long, so I can't speak to it's durability or odor properties. Upon first arrival and for the first few classes it does have a rubbery odor. The odor was a little annoying for my first class with it, but it airs out over time. I purchased Gaiam's mat wash along with it, and have used that per the instructions, and that may have helped with the odor. My only complaint with this mat - it scuffs very easily. In fact, the first one I received scuffed in shipping I believe, so I asked for a replacement, and it too arrived scuffed. As it jostles around in the box a little in transit the surface of the mat rubs against the cardboard and gets abrasions on it. You can't rub or wash them out either. They're there to stay. I haven't caused additional damage to it, but worry that because of the scuffing the life of the product will be shorter, and the scuffed areas may have reduced sweat wicking ability. I've been gentle and careful moving it around, because I'm afraid to further damage it. If the surface were a little tougher it'd be perfect. But I suspect that the surface gets worn easily and will need to be replaced before too long. I even noticed in the photos on the site you can see scuff marks in their modal pictures. I did not notice that at first. I can be kind of picky about things like that - I'm the person who will pick up every single copy of a book in the bookstore to find the one with the most pristine cover. So it bothers me that this item was damaged before I even opened up the box.

Good mst but the design/ink rubs off
I was happy when I received the mat. It’s the perfect thickness, so I don’t need extra padding for my knees, and it doesn’t absorb moisture, which is perfect for hot yoga, and the main reason I got it. The design on it looks great. Unfortunately, after only a few weeks of use, it’s starting to rub off. Usually it transfers to my feet when I rub om it as I switch posses. So far that’s my only negative.

Works great for hot yoga but wish it was 72”
Works really well for hot yoga! No more slipping! Gave it 4 stars because all other non-slip yoga mats are usually 72” long but this one is 68” long which makes a big difference. And wish it came in others colours than just black.
