the lid leaks
I ordered these for personal use - not as gifts, and I'm a no-frills sort of girl so they didn't have to be anything fancy. I did receive them as pictured - with white inserts (not kiddie coloring sheets), and this made it easily apparent that one of them had a fine crack down the side of the clear outer layer. But it's not noticeable once you've put your design in, and it's not like *that* part needs to be waterproof, so whatever. I put in my designs and they look pretty good - nothing fancy, but just what I was looking for. But I brought one to work today. First, on a personal note, I don't like the way the lid feels when I drink - it's quite rounded so I have to work harder than normal to seal my lips around it. But that's personal preference so take it for what it's worth. But my biggest frustration - no matter how sealed my *lips* are... the lid leaks. After a couple of sips, I had coffee dripping out between the lid and the cup. It's a snap on, not a screw on (which makes sense, since the inner layer of the cup screws into the outer clear layer) and it's just not a water-tight seal. It's not a complete loss - it'll do better than a lidless mug at keeping liquid from sloshing out while driving, and I can just drink it without the lid on at my desk... but that's a pretty big fail for what it's designed to do.

everyone loved them!
I used these for a gift for the 10 year anniversary of our book club. I printed out my message on regular paper. It was a little tricky because the paper edge is actually curved to fit flat in the cup but I followed the paper that was in the cup. Based on the advice of others, I chose to laminate my papers so that if any water got in they would not be ruined. I chose to glue in the cup into the outer cover, because I couldn't see myself taking the cup apart and removing the paper insert every time. I used epoxy to seal the two pieces together. It worked but you can see it slightly on the threads where the two pieces come together. The cups are then waterproof but still not dishwasher safe. Still, everyone loved them!

Great for Art Project/Gifts
Got these for my 3 year old to give as christmas presents for my family and his preschool teachers. Will have him color the paper to personalize each one. These are very basic but look like they get the job done as a basic coffee travel cup - don't expect them to keep the liquids hot the way the stainless steel ones do etc but I was going for the thought of the gift. Also, really can't beat the price on these. I purchased clear water-tight sealer as a few of the other posts recommend so that once he finishes the artwork I can assemble them so they can be washed etc w/o water getting into his "masterpieces"

Awesome and cheap!
From the reviews I was not sure what to expect. I wanted a fun creative idea for Christmas gifts, and these are going to be perfect for that! Money is always very tight around the holidays, and this is a very inexpensive way to give your friends and loved ones a thoughtful gift that they will cherish! I used waterproof cement glue on the cups so that the pictures would not get wet and also laminated them. The mugs may not be of the highest quality but they work, and you cant expect amazing quality for 6 cups that only cost $14! One thing that will help is make sure you do not put these in the dish washer. I am really amazed, by how great these cups turned out, and I can not wait to see my family's faces when I give them these! I would recommend these to anyone that is looking for an inexpensive and thoughtful gift, or even an art project for yourself and some friends!

Perfect for a fun-craft
I was looking for a fun way to commemorate our 2012 family vacation. Other years, we've done t-shirts etc, but we wanted to do something different this year. These mugs worked perfectly. I printed out our photoshopped images, and then handed out the personalized mugs to everyone on the 1st day of vacation. We used them all week and didn't have any breaks, cracks etc even with washing. The one thing I did do was to laminate each insert so it could be removed for washing, and also so it wouldn't be damaged should any liquid leak into the during use. I had found something similar at Hobby Lobby for 7.99 each, so this was a great price and a very good product.

Loving these cups. I purchased them at full price I intend to make something for by Direct Sales business and I thought these mugs would be perfect for what i want them for What i am doing is taking my swatches from my products and placing them between the insert of the cup and the outer wall of the the cup. I plan on using them as prizes or gifts I have not made up my mind which I am going to do. I will attach photos to this review so you can see what i am talking about. I am giving credit for the idea to of course Pinterest!!

Very Fun Craft
These cups are kind of low quality but they seem to hold up ok if you use a clear silicone adhesive. The kids had tons of fun making their own cups at my daughters sleepover party. And then they knew which cup was theirs all night and they had something to take home the next day. Unlike another reviewer mine came very well packaged, maybe they took their advice! :)

I recommend!
Some came slightly cracked, but it's not terribly noticable and it doesn't effect the functionality of the mugs (the outer shells cracked, not the inner cups). They're not perfect, but they are definitely worth the price! I customized these and gave them away to six of my friends. They all loved their gifts!
