Works as intended but hot
Straightforward. Keeps the rain off of your head and face. Downside is it keeps the heat in. On a hot day you’ll be drenched from sweat. Does it’s job so can’t blame them but would only recommend this for cold rainy days.

Rain hat
I love these hats. Have a ble and black. They are adjustable, light, look good on my head.

It works
Well I will start with the good it works well for keeping the water off my head and fit was good. Now for the bad, the construction quality has a lot to be desired. As you can see from the picture the pull string are not across from one another, for me I work outside on the river and it gets very windy so that is important to me. The other thing is the way who ever is storing the item. Not sure what they do to it but I have tried everything I can think of to remove the crease from the brim and can’t seem to get it out. If anybody has any ideas, please let me know. The only reason a crease is annoying is because it allows the water to flow into my jacket.

Definitely waterproof
Waterproof and comfortable, but can’t get the hat in a decent shape.

Dry head, weird fabric
This hat is seemingly made from that type of fabric you find reusable bags are made of, though the hat is pretty stiff. I tested it with some pooled water and it worked on its own but for added measure, I sprayed it with camp dry spray. Worked well, kept my head dry while traveling overseas in Scotland and the Faroe Islands, sometimes in pouring rain. I never overheated and the string helped keep it atop my wee head. Good purchase.

Hat looks good, well-made, but only for size 7 3/4 and under...
I just received this hat and haven't worn it in the rain yet, so I can't comment on the waterproof qualities, but it's Frogg Toggs, so I'm sure it will work as well for that as my three other FT garments (jacket, rain pants, and wading pants), which is very well. I've worn my wading pants a couple dozen times thigh-deep in the streams while trout fishing and they have not leaked a drop yet. I just wanted to drop a line to everyone on the size of the hat. My head measures 23 7/8 inches which translates to a hat size in the middle of the 7 5/8 range. Right out of the box it is snug but comfortable on my head, and I could wear it all day with no headache or discomfort. I've been wearing it for about half an hour and I can already feel that it will stretch a little bit and conform to my head, but I don't think it will stretch much. It does have an elastic band inside which gives it some built-in sizing cushion, but the outer part of the hat is as big as it is, and that part won't have much stretch to it over time. If your hat size is 7 3/4 or less I say go for it and order this hat. If your hat size is 8 or above, I would say look elsewhere because this hat will be too tight. It arrived with the elastic sizing cord all the way open at maximum size and I didn't need to touch it. If your hat size is under 7 1/2 you will probably need to snug it up to fit. As for looks, it has a nice, casual look. No one will mistake you for Humphrey Bogart in an expensive fedora, but the hat looks good for a boonie-type rain hat and I'd have no problem wearing it anyplace. Bottom line is, like I said, if your size is 7 3/4 or under, you could do a lot worse than this hat for the price. If your size 8 or above, look elsewhere.

Excellent waterproof hat
Excellent waterproof hat, but very hot to wear even in winter, does the job I bought it for though, keeps me dry from the rain.
