Replaces a poorly designed part, functions like OEM again
After my Frigidaire microwave started blowing the breaker and ultimate blew its fuse whenever we would open the door while it was running, we needed to fix it. After doing some research and reviewing the wiring diagram for these units, it became apparent that there is a physical cutoff built into the wiring for these microwaves such that the door mechanism should disengage the other two switches BEFORE the center switch, which is normally closed (energizes it’s circuit when RELEASED rather than when pressed), is released, when opening the door. The problem that occurs with these microwaves is that the plastic door switch-holder assembly (this part) wears rather quickly from the door latch rubbing the “ramps” built into the assembly, resulting in a degraded operation that ultimately allows the center safety switch to activate out of order, closing its short circuit path intended to halt any inadvertent operation of the microwave while the door is open. The unfortunate consequence of this switch activating is it will trip your breaker and/or blow the fuse in the microwave. Anyway, this replacement switch holder / door latch assembly works perfectly to replace the original. After installation, the switches once again operate in the correct order and the microwave no longer blows the fuse or trips the breaker if opened during use; it simply pauses operation as intended. The fact that this part wears out in such a short period of time, less than two years, is a testament to truly poor engineering by Frigidaire. Hopefully this replacement part is more durable, but I doubt it; it looks to be exactly the same material as the original. Therefore, I fully expect to need to replace this stupid thing again in the next couple years, which is why this doesn’t get five stars—the price is entirely too high for a simple molded plastic piece that won’t even provide a reasonable service life for its purpose.

Most important part
From all my research on repairing my GE micro, the switch holder was the main problem. It is made of hard plastic, but as they wear the tightness of the assembly weakens. If the door does not close tight or you open the door while micro is running it will blow 20A power fuse. I kept replacing the fuse, after 2 fuses the breaker started tripping. Then it was back to Youtube. After finding the right video from a retired repairman. Oh yes this Frigidaire Switch Holder works on many other brands too!! This one is black, mine was white but everything is the same. This does not come with the pivot arm that you must remove from old unit. That is between the two lower switches. Be careful everything is plastic, the release tabs on the switches are hard to get to. I used an ice pick...before I replaced any items I copied wiring connections and took pictures. On my GE I had to trash that plan as I was using the NC/NO positions of labeled switches..that was wrong. Ended up placing switches in their holder according to their terminals matching harness... I know it is crazy...but the GE works great..the new holder is better than old one. I see the door closes tighter

Poor quality aftermarket
I replaced the switch plate because it was recommended I do so. My GE microwave kept blowing fuses and tripping the circuit breaker. I had replaced all three switch with new ones from the same manufacturer. My microwave was running just fine, but I thought I should replace this part. After reassembly I was going to warm some water. POOF! Blown fuse and tripped circuit breaker I’ll be returning this part

Poor design Electrosux!
First the good news: I was able to repair my Frigidaire over the range microwave oven. Now for the bad news. Disappointed that this part wore out in less than 2 years causing the monitor switch to fail. At first I was confused as to how this part could be causing my issue of tripping breaker. After reading other reviews turns out that the wear in this switch holder messes with the timing of the safety switches causing monitor switch to close before N/O door switch opens. Creating a dead short, tripping breaker. Better than the microwave running with the door open I guess. Also replaced the monitor switch as the contacts were burnt and stuck together.

Also Works in My RV Furrion Convection Microwave
After seeing another owner of a Furrion microwave fix his problem with blowing fuses by replacing the door switch holder with this item, I decided to give it a try, since it looked like the one I removed from my Furrion microwave. Sure enough, it works perfectly! I removed the three old door switches, installed them in this new switch holder, re-assembled everything, and after a month, everything still works perfectly with no more blown fuses when the door closes. The only question I can't answer conclusively is why the old switch holder was at fault. I did notice that the switches seemed somewhat loose in the old switch holder, and I noticed some wear in the area where the door latch contacts the switch holder. Time will tell if this new part will eventually need replacement; my guess is that it will, because it is plastic and thus is subject to more wear than if it was metal. But in the meantime, I'm happy to avoid having to replace the entire microwave because of this problem!

Genuine Frigidaire part, a weak link in the Frigidaire Galley Microwave
The Frigidaire Galley microwave oven that we purchased in 2019 started blowing its main fuse within two years. It started with the fuse blowing if we opened the door when the microwave oven was in use and eventually started to blow the fuse seemingly at random. Researching this common issue with this oven often led to descriptions of failing door switches but this bracket is the problem. It wears quickly and eventually the door latches will not fully engage the door interlock switches. The only solution is to replace this bracket. Buy two as you will need to replace it again in a couple of years.

fits GE MWO
This fit my over range GE MWO jvm3160ef2es just fine. Beware that on these, the manufacturers don't include the little plastic lever that pivots on the plastic spindle (located on the wide/lower end of this part). I had to remove the lever from the old one & install it, a very easy task, just don't throw out your old part before you harvest it.

Original part. Fit is perfect
This is the ticket if your microwave blows the fuse. You need this with some new switches.

All I need after 2 years.
I have I microwave I bought from Sears for half price when they were closing down their stores in Canada. The microwave oven worked well until covid hit and it stopped working. Unable to a service person. I turned to youtube and most of the people's recommendations were to change a fuse or door switch that popping after a day or two. I luckily found the recommendations to change the door handle lock on a forum. It is the longest my microwave kept working without popping the fuse. I recommend 100% and the part has the same part numbers as the old one.

Beware, Switch holder does not come with bottom switch flapper
Switch holder looks exactly the same, but the flapper that toggles the NO/NC switches on the bottom is not include and will not work without it. Make sure you remove the existing flapper from old switch holder before discarding it. As part of the switch holder assembly it should come new as well but it doesn't, that's why I downgraded the rating.
