Nice product, but a little tricky to get used to.

I love the results of this bit, but it's pretty large and can be intimidating. I've had a hard time adjusting the fence so that I get a straight cut from it. The bit takes off an eighth of an inch of the wood you are edging, so when it's on the outfeed side, it is not lined up with the fence if you have it parallel. I think I just need to work with it a little more until I get it lined up, but it isn't as easy as a bit with a bearing on top. I love Freud bits though and I'm sure I'll get it figured out. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. It gives a nice professional edge.

Not a "standard" door lip bit, but very good quality.

I made a mistake in ordering this bit. The 1/4" round dimension of this bit does not accurately describe how large this bit actually is. It in no way makes a "standard" door lip profile. The bit routes a substantially larger profile than a standard door lip. I ended up returning this bit before I even used it because I needed to match a standard door lip for a customer and there was no way this bit was going to be even close to matching it. I ended up using a standard round-over bit set a 1/8" above the table to give it a reveal, and a 22.5 degree chamfer bit for the lower part of the profile. It is a very nice bit ... it just wasn't at all what I was expecting. More dimensions are needed in the description. Freud's webpage and catalog also do not do a good job in accurately dimensioning this bit.

Smooth cut and good price!

Nice smooth cut and all the router rotational speeds were included for this diameter bit. I have always been happy with Freud bits. I still have some experimenting to do using 3/4" stock. Still looking for a balance of finger grip and front cutter detail. I think this bit would be better suited for 1" stock though.

Excellent Bit!

I use this bit on a Router Table with the P-C 7518 motor. I've used it on scrap pine and Q-sawn White Oak and the finish is incredibly smooth. Even my wife approved :). I spin it at 21k RPM and it works beautifully. I highly recommend this bit!

Fantastic

Fantastic. saved lots of time by making both cuts at once. Careful alignment and I was able to cut 1 inch doors and 3/4 inch drawer fronts. Still cutting clean after 20 oak doors and 7 drawer fronts.
