Nice bit for the price
Used it to rout a channel into a laminate desktop for a miter track and a router plate. Worked very well i had very very little chipout. Haven't used it enough to know how long the edge will stay sharp but at this point I'm happy with it and would probably buy it again when this one is done.

Works well and a good price.
Title pretty much says it all. I like my Freud bits and would definitely buy again! Nice clean cuts in hardwood, plywood and mdf.

Great router bit for cutting mortises
Most experienced woodworkers suggest an upcut spiral but for plunging mortises. However, for my particular need, I wanted to avoid the typical tear out that often occurs when using an up cut style bit. Sure they remove the sawdust better while the blade is cutting but they do have a tendency to cause tear out around the mortise opening if you're using a plunge router for the job. I thought long and hard and decided that for my needs building a child's wagon for my granddaughter, that the down spiral would be better. It worked like a charm. I only take one star off because it does cost 2-3 times more than a straight double flute bit. Otherwise it's a solid additional to my router bit collection.

Good sharp bit. Runs true and cuts clean.
Made a circle jig for my plunge router and used one of these bits to cut two small table 22.5 inch tops out of 3/4 inch baltic birch. I cut them in three passes and had no problem... cut like butter. I bought an extra bit because I was afraid of snapping one of these pure carbide bits, but that didn't turn out to be a problem for me. This is the first time I used a circle jig. I am very satisfied with the sharpness and quality of cut which was perfect. It seemed to clear the sawdust sufficiently and had almost no break out on the bottom of the boards. None whatsoever on the top which would fit with a down-cut bit. A few seconds with the sander and they are ready for the next step.

Great quality
I am a professional electrician that does woodworking as a hobby and leisure activity. I own and use many Freud bits and have never had a problem with any of them. Highest quality for the money. I also own and use many other cheap bits since you can buy a whole set for a lot less then two name brand. The bits I use the most though typically are Freud, Amana, CMT, and Bosch. Keep the pitch cleaned off and they last a long time. The cheap ones tend to start dulling whether clean or not and I don't think its worth having them sharpened for the money. This down cut I bought to use on the edges of plywood to keep a clean edge on the top underneath the router.

VERY SHARP
Extremely sharp bit. I mainly use this bit for making slots/holes for my jigs on my table saw and band saw. What else can I say... It's a Freud. The best.

Doesn't last - chipped entire length of cutting edge on plywood
UPDATED Review: First impressions were great, so much so that after losing my first bit, I ordered the exact same bit without hesitation. Well after putting a few hours on the bit, the cutting edges are chipped... not sure how as they were only used on new plywood, and both flutes were fully chipped. This is the only bit I've ever seen this happen to - even far cheaper bits from China last longer (typically only breaking due to my own mistakes). Leaving the review at 2 stars because one of the bits worked fine for a short while, and because the bit just isn't very expensive.

Excelente
Tuve una broca similar en marca CMT y la ame hasta que se rompió, lo cual es normal que ocurra después de tanto abuso. Esta se siente igual de buena, ya veremos si dura el mismo tiempo. Corta con gran facilidad y deja un acabado precioso.
