Size
I bought it for the head size I use for hinges, the only problem the Shank is too long to cut the depth of 3/16 deep--on my router table and palm router also

Worth the extra cash
Cuts superior to any other router but I’ve used. Super clean.

Shaker doors aplenty
Bit makes it easy to cut perfect frames for 1/4 inch thick panels. Makes job easy, fast, and precise on router.

Works very well on walnut in my CNC router
I bought this to use in my CNC router for projects where I need to hog out some deep voids (e.g., in the back of a clock for the clockworks), and it works very well. There is a gap on the end between the two cutting edges, so you can't plunge straight in with this bit, but a reasonably shallow ramp or spiral works very well. Nice clean cut in walnut (which is all I've used it on thus far).

I guess they don't make 'em like they used to
I have several Freud saw blades for my table, radial arm and miter saws...never had a problem. So felt good about getting this router bit to do a small craft project that involved putting 3 1/2" long x 7/16" deep slots in maple. Boy was I wrong. This bit has to be the absolute worst bit ever made. The shank was ridiculously long requiring I make router adjustments I never had to make before. Then after a few practice efforts on both maple and pine, the bit just flat out refused to cut any more. I thought this thing was carbide tipped but didn't say it on the box and I don't see it now...so guess it isn't. Me bad. Unless you are routing the feeblest of wood...I'd stay away from this bit...and I'm inclined to never buy another Freud bit again. Hope this review help you more than this bit helped me.

Disappointed
This bit broke after what I thought was pretty limited use. I don't think I was abusive. The bit snapped in the middle of a light cut. I rated accuracy high, because it cut nicely ...until it broke.

Broke first time using it
Very disappointed with this freud bit. I didn't use it for more than 2 minutes and it broke. Was making a groove in a 1/2" piece of plywood. Taking a lite pass for about 24" into the plywood and it broke. I will be purchasing whiteside bits from now on.

Cheap
Bit snapped 4 min into cutting cherry wood.

Held up to harsh usage.
I was hesitant given other reviews, but I had no issue cleanly and quickly cutting a long, 7/8" deep slot in red oak, in only 3 passes.

Cuts well, seems to break in the same place for everyone
I’ve exclusively used this on pine softwood, and it snapped after a month and a half. Cuts really, really well... until it snaps.
