Heavy duty, well made
I considered buying a less expensive bag for my pickleball gear, but I'm really glad I invested in this one. Nice heavy fabric and designed just for pickleball. Thumbs up.

Best Franklin Pickleball Bag Out There
Coming from Franklins first line of pickleball bags (the black and green ones), this bag is definitely a step up. Materials feel solid, lots of room for paddles, balls, shoes, towels, tape, etc. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because there are some design flaws in my opinion. One of the side paddle pockets is smooth while the other is fleece lined...why? Also - when using it as a backpack, the top zipper for phone/keys is great. However when using it as a duffle bag, that zipper is on the ground...they should have placed the zipper the other way around so it could be used as a side pocket in duffle bag mode. Lastly, there are two water bottle side pockets which seems unnecessary and lazy in design. But overall the bag feels good, has tons of storage, and the black/gold color combo looks pretty sharp.

Almost Perfect
Large bag that can be used for pickleball but probably other sports/adventures as well. Exterior: feels like some sort of waterproof fabric that is similar to Cordura. Can't say how durable it is, but I won't be tossing this bag around so probably not an issue (unless it snags on a fence or bench, then it might be a thing). Stitching of the handles to the bag seems solid, but the sternum strap and other strap-to-strap stitching seems a bit rough. Duffel handle is fine and velcro is adequate. Backpack grab handle is some leather-type material that has the seam on the top, which I assume is for comfort. Zipper pulls are large and the zipper teeth are medium-sized. Backpack straps seem padded-enough and the backpack back-pad has pads and allows for airflow. Interior: paddle pockets have different linings...either fuzzy/fleece (it sometimes can get in the way of the zipper, affecting closure efficiency) or smooth nylon. Not sure why they're different but they are. Large main compartment that opens with a centre zipper and has no dividers. Shoe compartment opens from the bottom of the backpack (or non-zippered duffel-end) and extends into the main compartment with a separate sleeve. There's a zippered compartment between the backpack strap-garage and the main compartment that has a divider, which seems to fit a laptop or other flat items. Randomme zippered top compartment, which I haven't figured out what it is for. Likes: big bag that can work for longer day or weekend tournaments. Seems well-constructed and solid, which Franklin is known for their baseball and other sport bags. Adjustable sternum strap and there are strap-keepers on the backpack straps. Dislikes: water bottle pockets don't zip fully-open, so you have to force the bottle into the main compartment space, which doesn't allow for easy access to the bottles. Main compartment zipper doesn't open fully, which is a pain in duffel-mode. Backpack connection clasps are not located well, as they will get scratched and scuffed (or worse) when in duffel-mode (they should be on the sides of the bag to keep them off the ground no matter which mode and then the bag could easily convert to single-strap cross-body use). Also don't like the randomme zippered top pocket as it doesn't open wide, not to mention that it faces the wrong way when in duffel-mode (it should have the zipper on the opposite side so it could be used as either a sunglasses/goggle pouch or a document holder). Also not a huge fan of the mesh back, which would get very dirty and gross if you switch between backpack and duffel frequently. Overall I do like this bag and it is close to being perfect. A little more thought during design could have made this perfect. It's expensive for what it is, but worth it for serious players.

Really solid
I read an article recently that was about the pickleball craze that is sweeping the U.S. Recently, I joined the pickleball craze and decided to purchase a pickleball bag. Overall, this is a well-constructed, spacious, useful, and comfortable bag-with one caveat: it felt too thin and flimsy in some parts (mainly some of the sections of the bag). This bag is a bit pricey for what it is, but I was overall impressed with it. Although I felt that some parts of the bag were a bit too thin and flimsy (and some were too thick), it does its job well. With all of that said, you could do a lot worse than this bag.

Built tough, cavernous storage, thoughtful design
We've recently been playing a good deal of pickleball. Everyone in the house now has their own paddle, and their towel, and their water bottle, and their favorite post game snack, etc. Faced with the prospect of toting around all this "gear", it was clearly time to add to a larger pickleball duffle to our aresenal of bags. And now that we have some nicer pickleball paddles, I don't really want to toss them in the car or have them jostled around in our beach duffle. Having a pickleball-specifc bag sounds over-the-top, but it has made pickleball days a breeze! I was also really impressed with the thoughtful design and durable construction. Materials are exceptional. They appear durable, with thick nylon fabric, quality, smooth zippers, and clean stitching. Aside from swallowing all of our gear, this bag was packed with smart design. There are seperate sleeves in the rear compartment so the paddle faces don't rub together. That's where the kids paddles will go. There are individual zippered pockets on the sides (two) to house mom and dad's fancy paddles. The duffle can convert to a backpack style with shoulder straps, which can stow into seperate "hidden" compartments when not in use. This bag also uses invisible style zippers to keep schmutz away from the zipper teeth. The bag uses a zippered tunnel for balls seperate from the main compartment. There is a large nylon hook that can fold out for hanging on the pickleball court fence. And the back or base of the bag has several pads to allow airflow between you and the bag material, which is great if you biked or walked to the court on a hot day. We are quite happy with this. It stores a ton withough becoming unweildy, it's built like a tank, and has some really great design features.
