Good Quality Portable Net
I have 4 kids and have coached a bunch of Little League and girls softball teams over the past 5 years, so I own and/or have used a lot of different equipment in recent years. This style of net is very common for coaches to use since it is easily portable and can be used for a variety of drills. There are a lot of options out there for this type of net, both at sporting goods stores and on Amazon. There are a lot of different brands and generic manufacturers that make basically this exact same net. This one compares well to them all, but there is nothing really special about it other than it does have the MLB logo due to Franklin's relationship with the MLB (they make a lot of MLB batting gloves). This net and the others like it are easy to set up and break down once you've done it a few times and know what to do. Since I have already used numerous similar nets this one took me about 2 minutes to set up without looking at directions. I like this net and it is nice, but there are a lot of options out there so while I'd recommend this net, I'd also recommend a bunch of similar nets. I took off one star simply because while the price of this net is decent, you can usually get basically the same thing for a little less money of you don't care about a brand name or having the MLB logo.

Sturdier than I expected
My daughter uses this for pitching and hitting. She's been using it about 2 years and she's 17 now, so it has seen some hard pitching and hitting. I was impressed with all it has taken and stood up to. Definitely recommend for those wanting a place to practice at home.

My 10 year old set it up!
I was worried about setup and whether the unit would work/stay up. My 10 year old had it set up in about 10 minutes (it was his first time putting something together besides legos). First I was proud of him & this is an unexpected good start for kids to learn about putting things together and following instructions. It’s not why I bought the unit but it was a perk none-the-less. This unit IS really light. I can see how some people would have trouble with it staying up. It does come with u-shaped ground stakes but if you have a high school ball player I can see how maybe those wouldn’t be enough to stop it from falling over. For me, this is not a big issue. I just added some brinks to the bottom but deducted a star because it feels flimsy. The netting is sturdy and it worked well for my 10 year old. The “pocket” of the net isn’t really big. At first I was a bit disappointed but in actuality, and after having to retrieve the balls from the net multiple times, I am glad it was. I wasn’t fishing through a bunch of net for baseballs as they were easily accessed from the smaller pocket. This works really well for my kid and it allows him to practice his hitting and pitching/throwing. I would recommend.

Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap
I ordered this net thinking it was a quality product. The seems all along the bottom completely separated the first time we used it. The netting is so cheap, balls just come flying through the brand new net making it very dangerous. I will never order anything Franklin ever again. Hunk of Junk

Anyone into sports should
This thing is awesome. Simple, simple, simple to put together. Shoot my 11 year old son did it in a matter of like 20 min. The only thing I helped him with was looping the top of the net on the top of the poles. Didn’t take long at all. The net is put together well. As you see in the photos I did have a small part where the net wasn’t twisted together but I don’t thing it’s a big deal. Shoot as well as it’s made I don’t think it’s going to hurt it any. And it has a bag with it so you can take it down and tore it or travel with it to the ball diamonds. I got this so I can pitch to my son and we will have a backstop. And when he is by himself he can pitch at it. The net has many uses. He was playing with it last night as a goal post for soccer so it’s good for just about anything. Been wanting to get one of these for a really long time so I’m glad I was finally able to do that. Anyone who plays sports should definitely have one of these. And the size of this thing will surprise you.

Awesome Backyard Fun for Baseball Fans
This net is so awesome and huge!! It’s perfect for backyard batting practice for beginners and more advanced users looking to hone their skills. For my family, we are definitely in the beginners category, and we are sticking with hitting whiffle balls with a plastic bat until we get a bit better. But this net works great for the whiffle balls as well as normal baseballs or softballs. It makes collecting the balls much more convenient since you don’t have to go all the way out into the field to retrieve them, prevents wayward balls from potentially damaging property with the huge size of the net, and lets you track and improve your accuracy and precision by seeing how successfully you’re hitting the ball into the net. I really like this for backyard fun for families like mine, but I think it would also be really useful for more serious pursuits and practice. It’s fun to see skills improve with time and effort and practice, and the net really gives you a quantitative method of gauging progress. Also, it was so incredibly quick and easy to put together; it took me like 10 minutes by myself.
