Think about where your door is and how it swings. This needs a wall-stud mount.

This hoop and board originally arrived with a net hook missing from the rim. The manufacturer quickly sent out a replacement rim. So, good on them for standing by their product. You need to think about where the door in the room is along the wall and which way it swings. In the room where this hangs it's on a door that swings toward the corner of the room (as I'm sure many many other doors you have do as well). So when the room door opens the rim of this hoop bumps into the adjacent wall before the door is fully open. If your door swings open away from the room corner you'll have less of an issue. However, there is still a solid metal rim swinging into your drywall either way. For the more DIY inclined consider getting some lumber from your local store and screwing this thing into those then those into the wall studs in a more centrally placed spot on your wall. Beside the issue of the opening door, there's also the noise and vibration from bouncing a ball off of it while it's on a flimsy interior hollow-core door. Bottom line: Think about if this will hit the wall when you open the door and consider putting it directly on a wall instead of on a door. It's sturdy and enjoyable, but the design of placement isn't well thought out.

Seriously so much FUN!

Perfect if your child loves playing basketball but you live in a small apartment and don’t have much space. Easy to assemble and came with a smaller basketball but you can always buy bigger bouncy basketballs for extra fun! Would definitely recommend purchasing this! Rating it 5/5 STARS.

better than nothing

it’s easy for one person to assemble but too loud. (Very important message) make sure to put something behind it, if you don’t want it to be very loud once the ball hit the backboard.

Perfect for indoor non-screen time play!

Want to get your kids off their screens on a rainy day? This is perfect! Seems to fit most doorframes (in our home, anyway) - and, thus far, hasn't ruined the door due to the pads on the brackets. It does make a bit of noise when the ball hits the backboard, but that doesn't bother me. Construction is solid and the basketball bounces nicely on the ground. Would purchase again! ~Mom of a 12-year-old

I always hit my head when opening my kid’s door because the rim hits the wall and stops the door from fully swinging open. It takes a beating. Good quality.

Good product, but shipped cracked

This product was easy to assemble and came with good directions. Only issue that I experienced was that it came cracked at the top of the backboard. This made it a little difficult when tightening the screws into the door loops. We’ll see how long until the crack spreads.

No need to go outside to play basketball.

This mini basketball net and ball is awesome. Because we live in apartments and outdoor play was not possible during this last Covid pandemic crisis months. It has helped me, myhusband and especially my 5 year old child to be active and play indoor. Very easy to assemble and perfect to hang anywhere in your room doors. Its amazing. But the ball is small and not too bouncy as a normal basketball.

Terrible backboard, good hoops

I chose to mount the hoops on a thicker, sturdier backboard and then attached that to my studs which works much better than the original design. If you simply hang it over a door like they suggest the sound will deafen everyone in your house.

Works Good

Still hasn't broken, son uses it all the time. Makes sound effects. Ball is a little overly bouncy though.
