GREAT leash!

So I have a super chewer of a dog who bites the leash (because he is still kind of a puppy). this leash is AWESOME! I have had it for about 2 months and it takes daily, constant wear and tear. Super Chewer bites the leash every morning when I don't let him sniff what he wants and it has withstood several games of "no mom! I want to walk this way!" (commonly called tug of war). My dog is. Dutch Shepherd mix, so he's not small. Some of the individual fibers are starting to get "fuzzy" but no signs of snapping in two. :)

Good leash but

Like that it is just a little springy and the rubber-like the connections. Also like the big loop for handle.Not so much $2 extra for nighttime reflection. Black paint is starting to come off of connection.

I Can Use As A Handy No-Pull Harness When Needed

This leash is sturdy with a strong clip and longer than my other leashes. I am a pet-sitter and sometimes I need to restrain the pup from pulling. My son showed me how to wrap the leash, from the clipped collar, around their chest in a loop. This shortens the leash (better control for me) and creates an unfamiliar sensation for the (big) dog so that he/she doesn't pull. I feel that the pup is more safe, I have better control, and another dog-walker passing by doesn't feel threatened -- or when there is a lot of traffic. I've tried this with a few "enthusiastic" pups and it's impressive how immediately they don't pull. I have no indication that this is hurting them -- it just feels "odd" and they're reminded to not (bolt) pull. The one aspect I don't love about this leash, is that the handle doesn't have a "softening" grip for my hand. It is of the same design as the leash--which is well-made, thick, and strong -- just not as comfortable for my hand. The color is a bright neon lime green with reflecting threads -- nice to locate and a safety bonus in the dark.

Good for a basic lead

So far, so good, for a basic leash. If you have a dog that pulls, the handle might get uncomfortable without any sort of silicone/grip on it. It feels plenty strong enough. I always buy the chain link leashes from this brand. And their collar is excellent as well. The one on my dog now, I bought over 5 yrs ago and its still going strong with no defects or anything. They make great products that last. I expect this particular leash to hold up with the same longevity.

Wish had a grip

We have an 8 month old puppy who managed to break the handle on our most recent "new" leash that lasted about 2 months. I like this and it's almost the same as the old one except for the handle which is just a rope without the 'handle' part. The old one was a bit more comfortable especially when visiting the dog park where she is prone to pulling until getting to the gates. On the other hand, this might outlast the other so only time will tell. Nice bright color and semi-easy clip. The clip could be a bit larger for easy on/off.

Sturdy and great for dark walks.

Comfortable grip and the reflectors in the leash make it easy to be seen. Very very sturdy.
