It is not like the bonnie but pretty close. The brim of the hat is 1 cm bigger than the military bonnie. The hat band is what i guess you can call it that has more spacing than the military bonnie. all that said not a bad hat for 5 bucks

After reading the other reviews for this I was concerned it wasn't going to be a "real Marine cover". I was sure I would be returning it because either the EGA would be missing or the color would be off. I WAS WRONG!!! This is perfect. The color matches my issue blouse perfectly. The embroidery on the EGA is better than on my issued one too. In fact the only way you can tell it is a knock off is it is lighter weight material (which I like) and the pattern is missing the small EGA's in the pattern that are a sign of true marpat. In the end this is a really nice fake.

Great, broad brimmed boonie

I really like this hat. Could only be better if the fabric was 100% cotton, which it's not (would be cooler on hot days). Provides great shade, good price point on sale. UPDATE: purchased the black version, July 2020, and it is all cotton (but other reviewers say their black versions were mixed cotton/poly). Looks like the fabric content varies, so if that matters, be aware. Great hat!!

Not 100% cotton, (cotton/poly blend). Still a cool boonie

Unfortunately the product description is misleading, saying it is 100% cotton. It isn't. It's a poly/cotton blend. I bought because solely based on the product description claim it was all cotton. Synthetic fibers can cause me to have an allergic reaction. I decided to keep it. I washed it twice, only wore it once, with no bad reactions. People with MCS take notice. Fox Outdoor always makes top quality military kit for a good price.

Good deal

For the price, this is a good hat. The only seemingly weak spot is the very top. But, it's holding up well so far. For the cost, it's a great deal.
