obsessed with these glasses
These are absolutely stunning glasses. I have this brand in so many different types of wine glasses and I'm truly impressed by these. Safe to go in the dishwasher. Strong glass. Really beautiful product!

Expect Stem Seam
As advertised, ie, excellent for white wine. Was disappointed with product quality. Noticeable stem seam. Would have expected better quality from Mikasa. Would not recommend product purchase.

Elegant wine glasses
We were gifted these for Christmas, and because they seemed fragile we bought another set for replacements just in case. None have broken yet, though.

Beautiful!
Mikasa in my option has the most beautiful and sturdy wine glasses. Love their products. I also have their white wine and cocktail glasses as well.

Not as expected-pictured
Don't be fooled!! The quantity indicated “one”’. The item pictured was a set of four wine glasses. The price for a single wine glass was comparable to other sellers 4 glass set which I thought I was ordering - “one” set of 4. Quite deceiving and disappointing. Not to mention embarrassing. This was sent as a gift.

Beautiful set of Crystal glasses
This set of four Mikasa Melody Highball 20-Ounce Crystal Glasses are very versatile and beautiful. My wife likes wine glasses that do not have stems. These aren't specifically wine glasses, but for most of us heathens they make excellent stemless wine glasses that will impress friends and family, and add the tactile enjoyment of crystal to your wine-drinking experience. The moment you unwrap them, you can hear the singing clarity of crystal glass and you immediately want to wet your finger and rub it around the rim of the glass to hear the crystal sing. It is instantly apparent that this is fine glassware and not cheap glass. Mikasa crystal is - in our experience - both beautiful and tough. My wife dropped one of these in our stainless sink and it survived unharmed. I would have bet against that... but it happened. I was confused about the listing which calls these both GLASS and CRYSTAL. So I did a little research... It turns out that Glass is a generic name, while, Crystal is a subcategory of glass, made in the same manner as glass but with different materials. All crystal is glass, but not all glass is crystal. The general rule of thumb is that crystal is a type of glass that contains lead. However, these are marketed as European Lead-Free Crystal... From my research there, that could mean a couple of things. In some cases, Leaded Crystal with LESS THAN 24% lead is called lead free crystal while anything with more than 24% (often up to 30% or more) lead oxide content is called "fully-leaded crystal." This set of glasses appears to have been made in the Czech Republic, and craftsmen in the Czech Republic, Poland and England tend to specialize in 24% lead crystal production. Lead-free crystal are often made with sand, soda ash, and limestone with barium oxide in place of lead. Both lead and barium give the glass an extra brilliance and clarity not found in the plain glass. Honestly, it is quite the rabbit hole you can go down if you start researching it. Well, how about this Mikasa Lead Free Crystal? In my opinion, these glasses SOUND like crystal, they FEEL like crystal and the mostly look like crystal. If I was going to say that there was an area where they are different from traditional FULLY LEADED crystal, this would be the place I think it may slightly differ. However, for the price and the look and feel of leaded crystal, I think these are a bargain. You can use them for almost any drink really, and for wine they look brilliant. They do exhibit some of the same clarity and beauty as leaded crystal when you pour wine into them. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these Mikasa Melody Highball 20-Ounce Crystal Glasses. I hope you enjoyed my review and found it helpful. I enjoyed researching the crystal facts and hope they add to your enjoyment when drinking a glass of wine in these Mikasa Crystal Glasses. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me and I would be happy to discuss them. Thank you!!!

Very beautiful, balanced, easy to hold
These glasses are beautiful. The size and shape of them are exactly what you want for drinking white or rosé. Your nose fits just inside the opening of the glass and you really can get a big whiff before you sip. The difference between drinking whites out of a red glass and a white glass is noticeable. At least it was for me out of these glasses. The glass is somehow both delicate and substantial. It doesn't look big or bulky, it feels light in hand. When I was washing it I didn't have my normal fear of breaking that I have with my red glasses. (They are so delicate, my husband can't even wash the red wine glasses. He was washing one and too much force was being used and it broke in his hand.) The balance and design of these allows you to hold them by the stem very easily, or by the base. There's a shallow indent under the base that your finger naturally finds and rests in for balance. You have surprising support. I thought several times while drinking out of them, that these are so lovely. What a wonderful gift they would make. They are right in that perfect price range of "I've spent enough on a nice gift" and most people don't have white glasses. Most of the people I know who are drinking whites, are drinking out of generic glasses. I do have some wine drinkers who take it more serious. Do the wine tours, have the glasses, etc.. And there are some who wouldn't care, but there are some who would appreciate them.

Exactly what I wanted!
True to size, nicer and light without being overly fragile.
