Just like the factory.
My only gripe on this lock is you can not order without getting a mastered key on top and non mastered for bottom. If you want that like I did, order this lock. Then go to westco fastec website. From there order one set of cylinders and keys to match the key number you receive with the lock. Again you will get 2 cylinders and 2 keys. One cylinder will be mastered and one won't. Ask for instructions on how change cylinders without special tools. I stall non mastered cylinders in top position and dispose of do what ever with the master cylinders. Now nobody with a master key can simply walk in, even if deadbolt is not locked. Only caviat is now if you lose your key, you will need a locksmith. Don't lose your key. You will have spares. Hide one somewhere.

Low expectations for this lock
This Fastec rv door lock is a replacement of a similar FIC lock which was the original in our Lance camper. The lock fit the camper door and screwed in easily. I reused the screws from the original lock because they are better quality than those supplied with the new lock. Overall the quality of the new 'made in China' replacement lock is less substantial. A spring in the lock is smaller and weaker. There is more 'play' in the moving parts because the fit and precision of the stampings of the parts is less precise. There is noticeable filing and adjusting of the fit of parts that is absent in the original lock and not very precisely done. I think this will be a short term replacement for the original which just wore out after 14 years of use, but I don't expect it to last. Besides reusing the screws I lubricated the new lock at all contact points of the moving parts, lock cylinders, and keys with graphite powder to improve function which made a noticeable improvement. I will spend more for a better replacement when this one fails.

Good lock, not color ordered.
Purchased this lock set for our motorhome. The existing lock did not have outside key slot for the bolt lock, just the spring handle latch. Installation was easy and the fit was very close. Lock works fine. Quality fine. The problem is that we ordered chrome, not white, per the listing and the picture. However, we were about to leave on a trip so the white one was installed. Fortunately, the door is painted white so the lock looks fine. Any other "wrong" color and we would have sent it back. The previous lock was chrome and, we believe, more durable. There are already visible scratches and chips on this one. If you purchase this I would suggest confirming the color by email or telephone.

Great Product!
Bought this to replace the lock on a 2003 Rockwood Roo 23' Hybrid TT. The fitment was perfect. The lock is very heavy duty, solid and smooth. I was impressed at the quality of this item for the price. Installed in 5 minutes and works flawlessly. The only downside was that it doesn't come with screws for the striker plate. But I used some metal screws I had. also, it comes with 1 key for each lock. I had hoped that the same key operated the main lock and the deadlock. This may be a feature for some people.

Wrong color
The item fit as intended, however, the wrong color was shipped to us. This was bought for a friend and although it serves the purpose, he does not want to remove the item after installation. Hopefully this isn't a recurring theme.

Great upgrade to your travel trailer
Looks nicer than the pictures. Heavy duty chrome. Looks much better on my travel trailer than the black one it replaced. Easy to install. I only have one complaint, but it is not the fault of the product or seller - it is hard to make copies of travel trailer keys, and two is not enough. If you take these keys to a locksmith, they will not be able to make you copies. This is a regular occurrence with travel trailer Keyes.
