A very strong return to classic riddles
We have been playing exit game since the very start only skipping several level 2 adventures. This entry is one of them most enjoyable in the exit series in a long while. Some of the riddles were very clever and some elements still manage to surprise us, despite being seasoned veterans. The riddles were all challenging, and clever, without being unsolvable or dragging. Except for one arguable case, none required major leaps of logic, or felt unsolvable. when we peeked at the hints/solution a couple of times, the feeling was "oh, well the hint was staring at me all along" or "oh, I read that wrong, duh! So clear now!". It's great that the team is still very creative, including it's use of game materials to setup some of the riddles. Seeing the cabin in 3d was also very cool. Note, that while you don't have to play previous entries, I think it's better to play at least the original abandoned cabin, and possibly one or two more entries, before taking this one.

So much at home fun
The EXIT escape games are so much fun to play at home. They offer just enough of a challenge, but have hints available if you get stuck. My family doesn't try to beat the clock for 60 minutes. We set it up and have a few days of fun trying to solve the puzzles. would highly recommend these games!

Great Sequel
I never thought a board game could make me feel like I needed 3D glasses, but EXIT: The Return to The Abandoned Cabin proved me wrong. The 3D layout is like the icing on the cake, or in this case, the icing on the scarefest. The puzzles in this game were already challenging enough, but the 3D aspect takes it to a whole new level. It's like the game creators were saying, "Hey, you escaped the first abandoned cabin game, but can you do it in 3D? Challenge accepted." At one point, I was so mesmerized by the 3D layout that I forgot I was even playing a game. It was like I had been transported to the actual abandoned cabin, except without the spiders and creaky floors. And the feeling of accomplishment after solving a puzzle and seeing it come to life in 3D was like a mini victory dance. I couldn't help but fist pump and high five my teammates, even if it meant we looked like complete nerds. So if you're a fan of EXIT games and want to take it to the next level, I highly recommend trying EXIT: The Return to The Abandoned Cabin with the 3D layout. Just make sure you have a comfortable pair of 3D glasses, and maybe a change of underwear, because this game will make you jump out of your seat.

No spoilers included with this review
I keep thinking that there's no way EXIT can top themselves. Surely, there are only so many ways to contain riddles in a little box. Wrong!! They brought it once again. Creative story and setting. New puzzles and ideas. Clues that make sense and lead you to the right thinking. And the last puzzle? A huge win for sure!! If you've done the Abandoned Cabin, Sinister Mansion, and Forbidden Castle, then buy this one now! If you haven't, buy those AND this one now!!

At least one A HA moment in each game
This is another strong entry in the Exit series. This has a couple of innovative puzzles and is a strong followup to the original Abandoned Cabin, if a little more challenging than I remember the original.

Very tricky
I liked this game a lot, it had a more immersive element than most of them do, but after doing about 7 of these Exit games, I was not expecting this one to be quite so difficult for us. We’ve had a fair bit of experience with them by this point and we got stuck a few times. We always managed with the clues instead of needing the full solution, but one puzzle we kind of fluked out way into unlocking it, because we didn’t actually have the right answer but the wheel happened to give us the number that made it seem like we had gotten it right. Highly recommended if you’ve played these games before but if it’s your first one, you will probably end up being very frustrated and lost.

First time, great fun!
Just a few things I wished I'd realised that others might find helpful: - The Exit Games have difficulty ratings and as a first timers playing this type of game, should have probably opted for a level 2! But that said, we certainly got our money's worth trying to solve the riddles. - There appears to be an order for this particular series, so possibly getting part one before part two would have made more sense. However, it didnt actually detract from the game play. Just feel like Ive skipped a book! - that the other interactive games that use social media or other apps isn't necessarily better, and the fact this one was a small box, with cardboard pieces actually is all you need (I also bought another game from another company but you needed to install telegram to play the game and that didn't work out very well because the servers had a glitch). So personally I'll be sticking to this brand! Overall we really enjoyed playing this game, so much so I've ordered another one to play over Christmas. Clever riddles, neat twists and turns, and the three tier help cards means you can inch along if you get stuck rather than go straight for the answer. Read the instructions together as a team, didn't take long to work things out, used about 6 help cards (there re three per riddle) so it's definitely doable for the less experienced game players.

The best Exit Game yet!
My partner and I absolutely love these Exit Games, we’ve played a good few now.The first we played together was the original The Abandoned Cabin which was brilliant so we were looking forward to trying this one. Thankfully it did not disappoint in the slightest! I think this is the best Exit Game so far! I’m enjoying the continuation of the story and look forward to the next instalment. With this one, I loved the element of the physical model of the room and extra bits that you put together, it really brought the game to life. We honestly had a lot much fun stretching our brains to this one. It was quite challenging as usual, and we almost gave up and were tempted to reach for the clues once or twice, but somehow managed to figure all the puzzles out eventually. First time we haven’t needed to use any clues which was a pleasant surprise! Still pretty difficult though. Highly recommend. Start with The Abandoned Cabin then try the Return.

Komos is back to top form
Absolutely loved the earlier Exit games but the later ones we sometimes found frustrating and not as clever as their earlier counterparts or the answers were such a reach we just didn't know how they got there. no more with this one - this one harks back to an earlier time in Exit games and not just the theming. The model etc is beautiful and the stuff to open made it so fun. The puzzles are complex but not mind boggling on how to get there and some of the secrets are so clever. Exit - please make more like this one! Thank you!!
