I bit clunky bet they were cheap. They shredded on my Bob punching bag in 15 mins

Using them for the first time and I'm seeing bits of the gloves going everywhere while punching my Bob punching bag. Only 15 mins in. Personally I don't care how they look but heads up they disintegrate fast

Full on protection for your hands

First off, the Gray, red color is not as described, the red is more of a dark, maroon red, which i have no problem with. Just needed to clarify. Second, the sizes are big, S/M is more a M and the L/XL is more of an XL. Other than that, these gloves are very good for day to day sparring. Double stitching would be nice in high wear areas, but the overall construction and quality is more than adequate. The fit might seem awkward at first, very stiff, but if youve ever bought mma gloves before, you have to go a couple rounds with them before they start to get softer and conform to your hands. The wrist lock is a long strap that goes around your wrist twice, locking with 3 velcro strips, so the its gonna be a very secure fit. The cushioning is the reason i bought this glove over the 4oz ones that everlast also sells without the thumb protection. There is very thick pads in both the knuckles and the thumb. The back of the wrist is also very cushioned, making blocking with the back of your hands no sweat at all. Speaking of sweat, the lining of this glove uses a lining called "ever-fresh" which works, the glove does not smell after my matches, but than again, i clean my gloves anyways after i get home. I still recommend cleaning them, instead of leaving hem in a damp, dark, gym bag. the foam cushioning pads are going to be wider than your hands, which makes the fit seem very big, but as long as your fingers and thumbs line up well with the holes, its all good. I grapple and clinch with these with no problem at all. These gloves are a bit heavier than thumb less gloves, however, these do provide alot more cushioning and the added weight is pretty much negligible. I highly recommend this for the day to day fighter whether you do MMA or kickboxing, this is a affordable, high quality pair of gloves that will last quite a while as long as you take care of them.

The glove padding wears down fast.

The gloves worked for a while, but wore down fast. Even with hand wrap, you can feel every strike against a heavy bag, and your knuckles bruise easily even with extra protection.

Good for sparring, OK for heavy bag

I like these for sparring - mainly striking. The little bit of padding over the thumb is really great to help protect it against the inevitable forearms or elbows it will eventually hit. The padding over the knuckles is good to protect my partners' faces from cuts/bruises in case a hit accidentally lands a little harder than intended. They're a little big/bulky for grappling, mainly the judo-type stuff with gi where you want to sink deep into collars or work in very tight spaces around your own forearms and wrists. They still work, though. For heavy bag work, I'd recommend to wrap your hands even if you're not hitting that hard. There's a roundness to the front of the glove that makes it not hit heavy bags totally flush even if you punch straight, and that feels a little weird, plus it causes the glove to shift back along your knuckles, possibly wearing the skin down. Wrapping fixes most of this, but honestly I still just put on my regular heavy gloves (Ringside Ultimate) for the bag. So overall, for MMA, karate, or other non-heavy-glove striking practice, I find these gloves do the job well. For grappling, they're OK, better for no-gi than gi. For heavy bag, I would say to get a separate pair of gloves.

Sizing: i bought S/M and they are more M which is exactly what I wanted (thanks for previous review about sizing). The good parts: Gloves quality is good, Gloves are comfortable, for both me, and the recieving face, they do not scratch an opponent, like my previous gloves From Green Hill. They are cheap. The bad parts are: They smell terrible with something toxic, i placed them outside the room cause it was impossible to brief when they are inside. Everlast sent me wrong color, it is neither Black(which I ordered) not Grey/Red which I did not ordered but amazon has in pictures. They are black and red, look ok. Warnings: Do not even think of using them as bag gloves (i know that some of u will try, but u was warned these are MMA/Grappling gloves not bag gloves).

Very strong chemical smell. The smell was pretty overpowering for the first few weeks but has gotten better but still pretty strong. I almost returned these due to the smell. The gloves themselves are pretty good. Takes some time breaking them in but overall satisfied. Also, I purchased the S/M and they are kind of big on me so if you have average sized hands get the S/M. Even in this size they are loose on my hands and need to adjust them during my punching sessions. Overall pretty satisfied, would probably give these gloves 3.5(Cant give 1/2 stars so I rounded up to 4) due to the chemical smell and a 4.5/5 without the smell.
