Pretty good product
As a baseball fanatics fan, I bought this and hope to share something on the common questions that people want to know about this product. Bought this product couple days ago, the performance vise, hard to tell yet, my son still trying it out. This is an inexpensive piece of equipment but could have big impact on people's baseball swing. I own this and also the Grip-N-Rip bat grip taper (GNR grip): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015KCSRM0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I will compare this product against GNR grip because people often confused them as the same thing, they are similar but not the same thing. Briefly, this product is like a cover go around the knob, so it provides cushion especially for your power-V part of your swing, material is very soft. GNR grip goes on the bat handle, usually sit tightly against the knob, it kindly changed a standard straight handle to a flare handle and with finger grooves, material is much, much stronger, also provides a little similar cushion to prevent knob press again your palm during power-V. 1. install ability People asking this probably because they have experience with GNR grip, I have owned GNR grip for several months now, have put it on and took off from a few bats. So from experience it is very hard to put on and take off. We are talking about good 5 to 10 minutes of hard work if you have really strong fingers; otherwise, could be like mission impossible to do. Very hard to put on, but once it is on, it is very secure and material is super tough. On the other hand, this one "power pad bat knob" can be put on really easy, 10 or 100 times easier than GNR grip, it is too easy so that it does not feel very secure after installation. 2. Adaptability I have a few bats from youth 28'' to adult 33'' different brands including wood bats and their knobs vary slightly from one to another, this product fits them all, pretty much the same way as long as you install it with the small hole goes on the bat FIRST. I think anyone find this not compatible probably install it wrong way. 3. Can you use it as a choke up ring? Probably not. First it goes on the knob and stays there, so you can not stack multiple pieces up like you could with choke up rings; second, it is too soft, won't provides a hard stop behind your hand. By the way, even though I said this can't work as a choke up ring, but actually that is what I am using this for. I feel my boy's bat is tiny bit heavy for him, I wish he would choke a finger up or so, but not as much as a inch like many choke up ring do. With the thickness of this product as a knob cover, it seems fit my purpose so far, it will provides 1/4'' to 1/2'' or so clearance from the knob. Overall, I personally like the design, but not sure about its performance yet, too soon to tell. I do wish the material is much stronger, maybe like GNR grip if manufacturer is listening, it will work much better in my opinion. I am not surprised to read some batters went thru several of these in a season or they can fall off during swing for a strong hitter, it is because the material is too soft and it is too easy to install (therefore easy to come off too).

Doesn't fit well on bat
The Powerpad is super loose on my son's 27" bat knob. Because it loose, I feel like it's not really doing anything. I thought it would be more rigid around the bottom, but it's just a very soft rubber and isn't far from the base. I thought it would take up more space like a choke too.

Great for the ones who like the feel
Arrived on time in good packaging. It's not for me, but my daughter likes the feel. It does protect the knob of her bats. When you spend $450 on a bat, the anything to help the longevity and appearance is appreciated. Umps and players love to flip the bat after hits, causing knicks and unwanted scratches on the knob. Money well spent in that perspective.

Son no longer complains of bat sting
My 7 year old started Little League (machine pitch) for the first time this Spring. During his first experience with batting in the cage, he hit the ball a few inches above the handle grip tape and immediately complained about vibration hurting his hands. The second time it happened, he was done with trying to hit the ball. I researched padded grip tape, the prohitter thumb attachment, padded hitting gloves, and this power pad. For the price and installation ease, it was worth trying, and my son hasn't complained since that first session. Now he can concentrate on trying to swing as hard as he can at the ball. He still mis-hits at the same spot on the bat sometimes, but nothing hurts anymore so he keeps on practicing. The power pad small hole stretches over the bat knob and it is semi-snug. The wide hole fits loosely around the end of the knob (there is some give) but I believe that purposely aids in vibration management. For the price and effectiveness, and helping my son continue to want to learn baseball, I highly recommend this product.

I guess it works? Doesn't do much for choking up
This is just meh. I mean, this is fine. I wasn’t expecting much, but this really doesn’t do much to help choking up on the bat, which was why I got this for my young son. The good - It’s made of soft rubber so it won’t hurt your hands. It’s easy to put in the bat. That’s it. The meh - it is really quite loose around the knob of the bat, and therefore seems overly large. I don’t like that. It doesn’t help choking up much. I am buying another to help with that, but I am not thrilled with that idea either. I may just end up buying another bat…….. This really is not worth it in my opinion if you are looking for a choking up aid. The fit on the bat itself makes this less than stellar. I’d say to perhaps try a different item instead.

Simple To Use
Simple and easy to install. Maybe we got the newer style, because I can't see anyone having a hard time slipping this over the knob of a bat. It's super soft rubber. Almost tacky feeling. My son says it helps with sting for sure and it moves his hands up the handle a little for a quicker swing. It also protects the knob of the bat for what that's worth. He took it off and doesn't use it as he didn't like the way it felt while swinging and sting isn't a big issue with his new bat. I assume it's one of those things you either like or you don't.

The black ones have never cracked
I bought a box of these, in black, in 2015 when I was managing my son's youth baseball team. I was able to persuade only a few kids to use them, so I have plenty of them. My son has used them with success and I have used them on my slowpitch softball bats. The Power Pads eliminate the sting from miss-hits. Ours have remained pliable and have never cracked. My son and I have gone to commercial batting cages a few times when visiting relatives, when we did not bring our own bats. My son each time had to stop after a short while because the cage bats were hurting his hands. I just now realized (in 2019) that the absence of these Power Pads on the cage bats was undoubtedly the reason for the painful stinging he felt. So in the future we will always bring a couple of these Power Pads when we are unable to bring our own bats on trips, for use in commercial batting cages. These are a great invention.

Great for younger players
Purchased for My Nephew (8). This was a great little add on for his new bat. Helped him secure his grip by adding a bit of meat to the end, and he reports that he feels it does help when he's hitting and has taken the 'sting' out of a few. Mainly though, He thinks it looks cool and he can tell his bat apart from the other 3 on the team.

won't stay on kids bat
Don't think this works for kids' bats... it flies off every 3 swings.

Does not fit
Doesn’t fit right on the end of any of my bats, although they are not Easton’s. Pops off very easily
