Quite Happy

I am quite happy with my oven thermometer. It has accurate and easy to read numbers while in the oven. This thermometer is just a push in and leave it or I can just check in as my roast continues to cook.

One minor drawback

Excellent build quality and is oven temp safe. I would have awarded 5 stars except the temp needle would have been better with a 270* sweep. It’s short sweep angle makes it a little difficult to measure small temp increments.

Replaced old one from store yrs ago, it’s almost exactly like it. Super happy, works great.

I had ne almost exactly like this, was extremely old. Was bought from store many years ago. I searched until I could find one that loooked like my old one and here it was. Works great, very easy to use and clean. (Just a Note to new buyers…. DONT SUBMERGE these thermometers DIRECTLY INTO WATER and don’t put in the dishwasher. I was taught to never submerge forever and a day years ago lol. One time my old one got water inside the face area, luckily it came out and did no damage.)

Convenient and fast reading.

It's very easy to get a read in only a few seconds. The thinner tip is very convenient. Careful, it's so not waterproof.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Easy to read and very accurate. Oven use, reads high temperatures. My old digital thermometer stopped working when I got it wet. No need to worry about that with this one.

NOT the best, and do not count on the red marker !

There are three big problems with this thermometer: 1. Temperatures are not indicated as clearly as on other thermometers: you have to look very carefully and closely to figure out where is 185, for instance. 2. The red marker is an important plus in principle, but in practice it moves around so easily that during the cooking process you always have to check if it is still in the right place. 3. The red marker is not securely attached to the thermometer: in spite of all our care, it somehow fell off and was lost after only the second use.

Not good!

I was trying to find a good thermometer that didn’t require batteries. THIS IS NOT IT. It is complete junk and doesn’t work at all! I just want to find a good one:(
