This Gets Rid of All Kinds of Reasons You May Not Want to Use Sunscreen
I was not really a fan of tinted sunscreen because I was afraid that it could worsen my acne (even when it says for acne-prone), dry my skin out, darken my skin tone, and the list goes on… I even opted Elta MD out of my list because I tried their sunscreen before and it irritated my face badly… Reapplying sunscreen every 2 hours is absolutely necessary if you want continuous protection, especially if you’re treating your acne or dark spots. I’m treating both so yeah I have to follow this rule. But the problem with regular sunscreens, whether chemical or mineral, is that after like the 3rd reapplication in a day, it starts to form a white cast on my face, and it makes me look… horrible. So the journey begins, I looked for tinted sunscreens hoping that it would solve this problem. I tried 2 from other brands and they did… but they left my face looking shiny in a bad way… I got upset but I still wanted to keep looking… and after having watched a few Youtube videos. I decided to pick this one… and I’m so happy that I did! First, it doesn’t cause irritation, which was amazing because their untinted did. Second, it blends onto my skin quickly, easily and without compromising your skin tone. The tint looks dark when i get it on my hands at first, but then it goes almost transparent after I spread it all over my face. And because of this, it doesn’t really darken my skin tone at all after multiple applications throughout the day. Third, it feels oily, but doesn’t make my face look shiny. So, it further encourages me to reapply every 2 hours. Fourth, it is not water-resistant. You may not want to use this sunscreen if you’re heading to the beach, or living your life outdoor on a rainy day. But if you spend most of the time indoor while the outside is sunny and dry, and you have little contact with water, this sunscreen is fabulous! On top of that, you can avoid the hassle at night that is trying to remove it off your face. Using just water may or may not be effective so I still need to use an oil-based cleanser first to remove it. The thing here is that I need just a tiny bit of the cleanser with little to no rubbing to get the job done. And last but not least, it sure protects you from those UV Rays. I have used this for a week and haven’t got any sunburnt or any sign of worsening dark spots on my face and neck. And while protecting my skin, the sheer tint also hides away my red & dark spots, even my skin tone and therefore making my face look better! Overall, this is a 10/10 sunscreen for acne-prone, sensitive skin type. It solves all kinds of hassles that stop you from consistently applying and/or reapplying sunscreen.

I'm a believer
Switched from Supergoop! due to breaking out from the chemical-based sunscreen. I was hesitant to try this since it's mineral-based (but not entirely a mineral sunscreen), but I'd always heard such raving reviews. Gave it a try and wow - so light on my skin, the tint works perfectly with my fair skin-tone (adds a little color), it doesn't smell strong or rub off and get into my eyes and mouth, and my skin feels healthy and not clogged with goop. Do I wish it was entirely mineral? Yes. Do I understand that entirely mineral sunscreen is a white-cast nightmare? Also yes. Only complaint is while I really like the pump-style bottle (mess-free) I can definitely see it keeping me from getting all the product out. This sunscreen is fairly priced among its competitors, but no one likes having to waste product due to packaging. Time will tell if this becomes an actual issue.

Great sun protection with added coverage.
Color: When looking at the top image in my photo you can see that the tint is not actually my own skin color; however, once fully rubbed in/applied the color does a great job at matching my own skin tone. I can see that this might not be the case with very very light or dark skin, but have not tested this on anyone else to be sure. Texture when applied: After applying, this sunscreen is not oily like normal sunblocks. Once dried, it has a nice dry matte finish. The matte finish is great to use as a base for applying foundation, since it allows it to stick well without being shiny. Sun protection: I have noticed that my face doesn't get color like the rest of my skin when I forget to apply sunscreen to the rest of my body. It is a pain that, like any other sunblock, it has to be reapplied often since I persona use it under makeup - which would require another coat of foundation and powder as well. Bottle: The pump is easy to use and one long pump expels the perfect amount of sunscreen for one face application. The pump is very soft so doesn't require much effort to press. The sunscreen comes with a clear cap that stays on while traveling, but requires little effort to remove. The bottle itself is seemingly well made and easy to use. Sensitive Skin: I have not noticed any issues with this causing irritation on my skin. Most facial oroducts tend to cause me to breakout, but not this - I have noticed no change in my skin since using it. Overall: Expensive, but highly recommended by determatologist. They even suggested purchasing through Amazon (vs in office), since Amazon tends to be the cheapest. Great daily product to protect against the sun. I love that I've recently used this on vacation around the pool, and it provides both sun protection and a makeup benefit (coverage isn't the best as makeup alternative, but much better than normal sunblock). I will be buying again. Update: 1/23/18 I am placing my second order now for this product. I used it 1-2x daily for around 5 months and it just ran out. I am pleased with how long this lasted. Update: 6/3/18 Yet again this bottle has lasted me around 5 months (slightly less right now as I’ve been using more like 2-4 times daily). Great product!!! Buy now, you won’t regret. ***Please let me know if you found this review helpful by clicking the “helpful” button below. Thank you!***

Super Protection and So Great for your Skin
First, this was recommended to me by my dermatologist. I know I'm supposed to wear sunscreen everyday but I couldn't find anything good that wasn't also greasy. But this is my new secret weapon! I put it on first thing in the morning after washing my face, and under my makeup. I fully protected and confident that I'm safe in the sun all day long! And I live at the beach, so I see a lot of sun. I'm only giving 4 stars because I didn't like the tint version (I will go back to the regular one) - I have to wipe my hands after I apply to avoid getting any color on my clothes and my white towels now have orange finger marks all the time.

Beware of the additional £11.13 customs charge if you live in the UK
Excellent product. Doesn’t feel greasy, doesn’t make your eyes sting, doesn’t leave a white cast and doesn’t aggravate my rosacea. If you live in the UK, please be aware that you will have to pay an additional £11.13 customs charge before you receive the item. UPDATED 27 JANUARY 2020 The seller kindly gave me a refund of the customs charge. Sadly, the price has increased by £17 since the last time I bought it 5 months ago so I am reluctant to buy it again. I’ve now just read that it doesn’t meet all the guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Dermatology so now I don’t feel so bad about not being able to afford it & I’ll look for something that protects my skin and is more reasonably priced.

My favourite SPF but pricey - a great example of skincare meets makeup
I've been trying quite a few different suncreams for a while now and this is by far my favourite. I prefer tinted SPF as the pigment ingredient provides better protection against blue light. The tint is ok for me as I have slightly olive skin, however on my fairer friends they've found it a little too dark, but if rubbed in well then it's fine. For those with acne/rosacea prone skin it's absolutely fantastic. It's lightweight, easy to rub in and one long pump is about enough for one application. It leaves a really healthy glow to the skin and means I no longer require face makeup. I've tried the tinted and non tinted version and I find the tinted one is much better for pilling and overall finish. Having said that, if you use too much of this and don't rub it in completely, it will pill quite badly, especially around the hairline and leave an unappealing orange-y line. This does become an issue as to use the correct amount of suncream to achieve the SPF rating you nearly always end up in this situation, which I've found with all the tinted SPF's I've tried. My solution to this (suggested by a skincare expert on IG) is to use a non tinted SPF underneath the tinted one. If you find a good non-tinted SPF that applies well (I recommend the La Roche-Posay Anthelios invisible fluid and the Eucerin oil control gel cream - both good for breakout prone skin) then you can apply the adequate amount to protect from sun exposure and then layer the Elta MD one on top and not use quite so much that it pills or leaves any lines. This does defeat the cost effectiveness however as you have to spend more buying multiple suncreams. The plus side though, is you get extra protection from your initial application, so if you're like me and can be forgetful with re-applying then it gives you an extra layer of protection. The downside, however, it is definitely on the pricier side. I would say it's worth the price, but when you have to use if every day and multiple times a day you do go through it quickly so the cost stacks up. I've also found this SPF can be really hard to track down in the UK as it's not always available which can be really, really annoying if it's part of your daily routine. *As a side note for re-applying; the La Roche-Posay anthelios invisible mist spray is BRILLIANT for reapplying throughout the day, especially when wearing makeup. It's a very fine mist and leaves next to no residue (only a slight deweyness which I personally like) so it wont affect your makeup at all. I put it to the test in the LA sun when away and I did not burn my face at all. It surprisingly lasts a while too and a good size to be able to throw in a bag :)

Customs charge
Waited several weeks for this to arrive. There is a customs charge of £11.30 which this company does not advise of and .just new aware of. This information should be made available in their advert. Not upfront and honest about costs.

Great but if in the UK there is a customs fee
Love the product it is very light and not greasy. The tint doesn’t show on my African skin at all. It goes brilliantly with make up even in heat. Only gave 4 stars because i was not aware of the £11.30 customs charge otherwise the product is great.

Not From EU/Duty Payment
Love this product have used before. Problem was had to pay half the cost of the product again in duty as came from outside EU.. As a result Could have bought for same price in Ireland. Amazon, please let customers know if product is coming from Outside EU as payment of duty makes product too expensive to buy on Amazon..
