Keeps water nice and cold, easy to clean
I ordered 2 of these for my kids to replace their smaller yetis. They work great for what they are but have a couple of drawbacks. They dented really easily, but my kids are 5 and 7 and drop their bottles often, so we may just put a little more wear and tear on them than usual. The locking feature on one of the bottles also broke within a month of buying the bottle. I reached out to ello directly and they were able to replace the lid. While I was annoyed that the locking lid broke so quickly, I appreciated their quick, responsive customer support. The bottle is easy to clean, and I appreciate that the spout pops out so you can really clean the nooks and crannies. They do get a bit heavy for little kid backpacks but that was to be expected for their size. I love that the kids have ice cold water for the whole school day and don’t need to refill until they get home.

Perfect water bottle for bags
I bought this water bottle specifically to NOT leak and fit on the pocket pouch of my backpack. It has never leaked and keeps my water nice and cold all day long. The lock feature was confusing at first because the rubber band at the top twists out of place, making it look locked when its not and vice versa. Once I figured that out, I just make sure the rubber band at the top lines up with the right places. I covered the whole thing in vinyl stickers and am obsessed with it now!! I did have to use super glue on the edges of my stickers to keep them in place because the cup is so smooth and rounded. But once I used the super glue, those stickers aren't going anywhere. I use Ello cups every single day and their products last well and are durable and keep my water cold.

Good bottle, Bad lid design
Bought this bottle prior to the start of school for my daughter. She waned a light purple colored bottle and this was one of the only brands that had the color she wanted. She carried it to school for about 2 weeks when, one day, she accidentally dropped it. The lid latch broke and as a result, the lid would not stay closed. The bottle is basically unusable without the lib being able to close. I ordered another one thinking perhaps we just received a faulty bottle or that maybe the next one would hold up better. I made my daughter pay the almost $30 out of her own money to replace the bottle hoping to teach her a lesson about taking care of her things. So, new bottle in hand, and after another week with the new bottle, it slipped out of her backpack at school, and dropped to the floor. Not as big of a drop as the first time, but the lid latch broke again, nonetheless. Needless to say, we purchased our 3rd water bottle within the first month and a half of school but this time we had to use a different brand and choose a different color. I'm definitely disappointed that the lid on this bottle will not withstand any amount of dropping. It's just going to happen where kids are concerned. And in hindsight, I probably should have known better when choosing something that had a thinner plastic hinged lid. It seemed like a great idea at the time as a way to keep germs off of and protect the spout but in the end, the parts just could not hold up. I did look to see if a replacement lid could be purchased for this bottle as I hated to do away with the whole bottle but I did not see any replacement parts available. I do not recommend this bottle for children.

Lids break easily
I bought two, one for my daughter and one for my son to take to school. Both lids latching mechanism broke within two weeks of use. Bottle seems to be of good quality but now they are trash

Great but got moldy
I know mold may be my fault. But I find it weird that this was my only reusable cup with a straw to get black mold spots in the cap area on the lip part of the straw. Hope that makes sense. But my other cups don’t have a cap on it like this. I always have the cap closed too because that’s it’s primary function (close and lock). Would like a version of this WITHOUT cap to avoid the mold. Love ello but I cannot keep rebuying this or keeping the cap up

Perfect!
My kids have to have water bottles for school and these are perfect. I bought one for my youngest and then had to get another one for my other child. I will be getting one for myself as well! This is one of the best water bottles I have used and keeps ice until the next day!

Cap broken
Bought 2 of these but their cap broken after a week of using not happy with the cap fittings.

Broken cap
I did enjoy using this water bottle, because I prefer water bottles with straws but like the straw to be hygienically covered. Unfortunately the cap that covers the straw, the bits that clip it into place have broken (not sure when) and now the cap will not close. I do not recommend this bottle for that reason, and have stoped using mine.

Ello drink bottle
I originally brought the bigger size for work and loved it so much. I brought the smaller size to fit in car holder and brought one for my sister in law and niece. We live in QLD Au and it keeps everyone’s water cold throughout the work and school day. Even during refilling ice stays frozen. Thanks Ello for a sturdy great design ????

Love it but it broke :(
I love this bottle, it’s lightweight, stainless steel inside and loved the lockable top but after about 2 months a seal broke off the top and now it it won’t snap closed anymore. It’s a bit expensive for that quality issue unfortunately
