Nice little tester
The "Elenco Electronics LP-560 Logic Probe Electronics Testing Tool" is a nice little logic tester for the money. I suggest this product.

Coiled cord is HEAVY
Its clumsy to use. MFG should have considered a UN-coiled cord.

Not the best I've ever had.
Cheaply made. Beeper is worthless.

Great for troubleshooting vintage computers!
I got my first computer back in 1980 and build a homebrew logic probe that I have used until recently not that long after. I have started building homebrew and kit computers (around the 6502 and other vintage microprocessors) and in the process have found myself looking at logic probes as an alternative to dragging the oscilloscope around. This one works great and I'm happy I bought it. I thought the "tone" feature would drive me crazy and expected to either muffle or disconnect it, but actually it makes it easier to focus on getting the probe on the right pin instead of looking at the LEDs. Overall it makes basic troubleshooting (is there power where there should be, is the clock oscillating, are address or data pins stuck high or low, etc.) quick and easy. Would definitely recommend and now we'll see if this one lasts four decades like my original homebrew one did...

Great logic probe for the money.
Use this in the shop all the time when troubleshooting vintage computers such at atari 800 xl series and commodore vic and 64. Works great! Signals are loud and clear and lights are easily seen. Using proper schematic diagrams and this can help diagnose and allow you to troubleshoot chips and problems in the systems and make decisions on what needs to be changed or circuits traced for toubleshooting.

Does not detect CMOS open circuits
When set to CMOS, the probe indicates "high" when not probing, it only indicates low when on a low signal or ground. This is not useful for detecting open inputs on CMOS. Also, the tone is always at the high frequency when not probing. The high tone is a very high frequency, and my old ears can hardly hear it, but it is annoying. The coiled power cable is a bit heavy and I am concerned that it will pull off of the power terminals on my board and short something out. I would prefer a light weight cable or a battery powered unit. It does work OK on TTL if that is what you are working with and if you have good "young" ears that can hear high frequencies. I will be returning this item.

Excellent probe , especially for the price.
I had not performed any bench repair work for years. One day a friend gives me an old space invaders console to play with, and I was hooked again. First I built my own logic probe. That's just how I'm wired. Hey! that was Punny!!! LOL. Anyway, I used it for a while, but I didn''t have a lot of faith in it. So I picked this probe up, since it had all the features I wanted and a few more. I tested the one I built against this one, and it turns out I was working just fine, other hat I needed to shield it a little more. Long story short, I was able to track down 3 EEPROMs that needs replaced and 6 chips on the board that had failed, and I no have a kick butt Space invaders console in my living room. Much to my wife's chagrin.

Great tool!
Well built quality tool that saves me a lot of time with the information that I get from it. I but a lot from Amazon and do not have time to review them all. But those I find very useful, they get my immediate attention and motivate me to write a review.

Works great, but the clips are frustrating.
This worked really well to diagnose a missing clock signal on my old Tandy computer. The leads for positive and ground are too short, and the clips aren't well-suited to grab onto thin leads or exposed ground areas. I ended up having to use a second pair of alligator clips on these leads, but overall the probe is great for what I used it for. The probe tip is the perfect size and sharpness for most 80s/90s machines I've worked on, but you might have trouble firmly contacting pins on super-high-density QFPs unless you're really precise or clamp on a hook probe. The included instructions are a bit unclear on what the "MEM/PULSE" switch does, but I figured it out through some web searching.

Works great, excellent for retro computer repairs
This arrived pretty fact, was well packaged. Unfortunately one of the wires had come off the PCB on the inside, but this may have been due to the wires been moved around during shipping, just needed soldering back on, no problem.

Simple but effective initial troubleshooting tool!
I wish it would have a switch position for 1.8V CMOS levels
