Looks great, but doesn't come as photographed

First of all, I really liked these. I purchased two to install on both sides of the wall next to my mantle to support lamps. I knew it was going to be polyurethane, and I'd have to figure a way to better support the weight of the lamps and the handling of turning them on and off. When these arrived, they were very lightweight, and surprisingly, hollow, not just hollow, but had an opening on from the back to the top, down the center, about 1 1/2" wide. My solution was to mount a thin piece of painted pine that I found at the hardware store a half inch wider and quarter inch longer, with a small "L" shaped shelf bracket, and then purchase white caulk to adhere the corbel underneath. It was more effort, and spent more on parts, but still cheaper than getting a wood one. If I ever remove it, I'm going to have to either razor through the caulk, or rip the whole fixture off the wall( and patch the holes the drywall anchors left. My original plan was to just pop some keyhole hardware on the back, but I'm not confident a non-hollow version could support that either.

First off, for the price these are very pretty and well-made HOLLOW, urethane (not wood) corbels - which I did know prior to buying. But, unless you plan to use them decoratively, you should look for something else. Since my purchase, Amazon has updated the photos showing that the back is completely open and there is no top on these to screw them to anything. While I have no doubt they work great for covering granite brackets, I was planning to install a corbel wall shelf and wanted to screw the wooden shelf down into the tops of these, which should still work but I was a bit caught off guard by how much open space there is. Still believe they will work, but wanted to make sure other shoppers can see a clear image of what the product actually is.

cosmetically pretty

I got this corbel to hide a large pipe we had in the kitchen. It was easy to cut and fit around the pipe, super light weight foam so it feels a bit cheap but it did what I needed to do so I guess all is good.

Pretty...awesome price...but corner was broke off

Its plastic Styrofoam type material...it looks like real wood...the inside is hollow and it doesn't have a hook or screw place.

Needs to be mailed or glued.

They are hollow with no means of mounting. I glued them in place .

Poor dispatch department

I am simply appalled at the dispatch!. I ordered 2 of these in the smaller size only to receive one large and one small. Looking at them we actually couldn’t decide whether to go for large or small so decided to order another one of each to see which looked better against the shelf As I was in a rush to finish my kitchen, I was forced to pay premier delivery charges . The delivery arrived today - inside the box was 1 large bracket and a pack of fruit if the loom socks !.
