Make sure it’s installed correctly!
I am going to swallow my pride on this review and start by saying I am incredibly embarrassed to admit this, but it happened. In the haste of everyday life, at the end of mowing season last fall, I sharpened my original blade and reinstalled it and stored away my mower. Last fall, I completely ripped up the old lawn (mostly weeds), tilled, added compost, raked and seeded a brand new lawn. Between the tilling and compost, the fescue I planted grew like nothing I’ve ever seen, so much so, I ended up having to mow several times throughout the winter (I live in NC)!! The struggle began after the first mow. I did wait until it was pretty long to make sure it was well established and my Ego just wasn’t able to do the job. I kept having to clear underneath the platform, there was no suction (less than 25% of clippings made it into the bag) and all sections matted by the wheels would not lift. I was at a total loss. I had started to look at gas mower and as I was doing so decided to look at blades. I found this one and figured what the heck, it couldn’t possibly be any worse. It arrived two days later and as I removed the old blade, I had a head scratcher moment because when I turned the bolt I noticed my hand would have gone directly into the blade had the wrench slipped. Yep, you guessed it. I put the original blade on backwards!! In my defense, I am a very adept DIYer but this one was a tough pill to swallow. Go ahead, call me an idiot, I deserve it. That being said, I am willing to be a little self deprecating if it helps someone else because some of the reviews I’ve read sound very similar to the issues I was dealing with and we’re all human. Check your blade! Lastly, I did install the new blade (correctly) and it is AMAZING! My love for my Ego mower is fully restored. My yard isn’t that big (.2 acres) so the batteries have plenty of juice for me to finish but it does sound louder which doesn’t bother me. I still don’t feel the need to wear hearing protection like I did with my old gas mower. Finally, instead of having to clear the platform and picking up grass clumps, I’m now only having to empty the bag and gladly I might add. I’m ready for spring and glad to have my sanity back.

It works.
My Ego LM2125SP mower came with the mulching blade with works just fine for mulching. But, Some of the stuff I cut requires the discharge chute or bagging. The high lift blade sucks in more air and discharges the clipping WAY better than the mulching blade. When I have half a bag of clippings before, they were just bunched up at the front of the bag like they were barely making it into the bag. Now, they are all the way to the back of the bag making it easy to get the bag actually full before emptying. With the side discharge tube installed, the grass shoots out as opposed to just falling out or clogging up in high grass. Well worth the money.

Greatly increases the cutting and bagging performance.
When I first purchased my EGO 21" mower I was a little underwhelmed with the cut. The mower ran well but the cut wasn't what I expected. I was seeing a lot of grass that appeared to be lying down and not cut the same length. Bagging was also weak. I had been using a Troy Bilt 21" for over six years and it always did the job to my satisfaction. Then I thought to buy the high lift blade and give it a try. I'm pleased to say the high lift blade has made me a happy mower again. I highly recommend it if you are wanting the same results.

THIS SHOULD BE REQUIRED UPGRADE
Wow! Wow! Wow! This is the lawn mower that I wanted all along. The marketing hype says the eGO has the power of a gas mower, but it never really lived up to that hype for me even though I have resharpened my original blade several times. But this High Lift Blade does everything that the mower is supposed to do. This is like having a brand-new mower all over again. The suction helps cut cleaner, better, and easier. And it fills the bag completely before even a few blades accumulate in the chute instead of requiring me to stop every few passes to reach down and pull grass out of the chute into the bag. This alone has saved so much time and frustration. Therefore, I give this High Lift Blade my highest recommendation.

VERY pleasently surprised
EGO blade onn mower does OK but doesn't fill bagger at all. Bought this in hopes of something better and it works GREAT! Cuts well and does a good job in loading bag. Interesting side note is how it chops up the clippings - much better than mulching blade.

The mower should also be sent with the high lift blade if being supplied with a discharge chute.
The blade that was supplied with the new EGO mower did not lift the grass to be thrown out of the rear Chute without clumping or clogging. with the new high life EGO blade, it lifts the grass and cut very nicely and discharges out the rear side chute very well without clogging or clumping of grass

Much Better Cut
I put the high lift blade on and noticed a big difference right away. Even though this blade is "not recommended" for mulching, I don't bag, and mulch everything. It cuts closer, at the same mower height setting, likely due to the lower clearance of the blade. It stands the grass up noticeably better and doesn't leave grass laid down in the wheel tracks. Our grass is very thick, and the blade powered through with no problems. It does make the mower rev a little higher and does use up more battery power. Normally , after finishing cutting, I would have 25% battery power remaining, but mowing with this blade took the battery right to the flashing red "low battery" light, although I was able to finish the cut. There is no doubt it uses more battery charge, BUT, the cut is much more efficient, with no grass laying down, so I expect a longer duration between mowings. Very pleased with this blade !!

EGO High Lift Blade for my LM2100SP Lawn Mower holes don’t line up
I received my EGO High Lift Blade for my LM2100SP and I was really disappointed when it arrived. I went to install it as soon as it arrived. I was excited to try it. However the three holes on the blade did not line up with the holes on my regular blade so I couldn’t install it. Not sure why. The blades I have are for a 21 inch Not sure why the holes on blade didn’t line up with the bolts. I retuned it but I would still like to find a high lift blade for my LM2100SP. The Blade number is AB2101 I wish I could get an EGO part number to make sure I can get the right blade. Not sure if you can help me. I need another part number udder than AB2101 Thank you.

Only works with bagging attachment
I got this blade to replace the standard blade on my four year old ego mower. The old blade was damaged and required replacement, so I figured let’s try the high lift blade. The blade transformed my mower, not a blade of grass was left standing and the suction is in credible. I can’t wait to use it in the fall. Only downside is it says not to mulch with this blade, so it might not be for everyone.

An improvement from stock
Its definitely an improvement from the stock but dont think you can set it on the highest level and expect superb suction. I find 3” and lower cut is best anything higher no big difference and your just using more juice. Using the side shoot is better with spitting the grass out than stock blades. Dry grass is preferred. Havent tried to mulch it but will try nx time.
