Great value for price

With what I paid I thought I was going to get a cheaper shoe for sure. They are definitely a bang for your buck. I recommend this brand to anyone looking for a nice pair of dress shoes for a great price.

Important: Purchase according to EU size

These shoes are excellent- stylish and comfy; exactly what I wanted. However- sizing description is all over the place. Please order according to EU sizing chart. That is the most accurate. I am a US size 8, which is a EU 41, and the shoes fit well. (However, it is labeled at 7-7.5US) Inside of the tongue: EU 41- this is accurate US 7- no. It should be a US 8 Asia- 25 CM- no. It should be 26 CM

Updated April 2020 - I’ve finally found a dress shoe I can wear daily ...

Updated: April 2020 I’m still wearing the original pair from a few years ago. If taken care of with leather cleaning , these shoes can last many years. I’ve since purchased two of the exact same shoe waiting to be used when my current pair is ready to be retired. I’ve even purchased a few blue pairs and one black pair. These are my favorite and most comfortable dress shoes in my closet. These get my TOP choice recommendation above all my dress shoes. Original Review: I’ve finally found a dress shoe I can wear daily without experiencing pain at the end of the day. I will be ordering a second set to be used later when I wear this pair at. Ecco has become a shoe brand that I can count on for quality. If it helps, my shoe size is an 11.5, but the 12-12.5 fit me perfectly.

Skuffed up.

Shipped from the UK with no protection in the box. Skuffs on the outside of shoe. Looks to have been cycled through one or more other customers. No marks on bottom of soles but the overall appearance is a used product. Poor quality for ECCO. (This is the low end of ECCO shoes. Available locally for $70.)

Nice Shoe

I've been wearing Ecco shoes for about 20 years because of severe lower back issues. They were the only shoes that didn't hurt by back when standing for long periods. I'm sure they're are others now, but I'm sticking with these. This iteration is comfortable and seems true to size. There is a little more room in the toe that I'm used to, but by no means would I consider them too big.

The black toe and heal are a bit much

The very dark toe and heal of the brown leather shoes wasnt that obvious to me in the images, but the toe and heal really overwhelm the appearance of these shoes. The shoes are nice enough and are comfortable enough, but they really dont look great. I wish Ecco had been a lot less heavy handed when they colored these. I dash of black polish on the toe of a brown shoe is ok, but these look like a child dumped all of the black polish on the toe and heal. It is really a shame because otherwise, these are nice shoes.

A 'premium' shoe made from what appears to be corrected grain leather

I wanted to like Ecco and had heard good things about them. Unfortunately these shoes are very disappointing. Please see the picture. This is taken after... wait for it... 1 wearing. You can see the creasing and the breakdown of the leather. I believe this is known in the shoe world as 'corrected grain' leather and it's used when manufacturers want to save money. You can imagine what these shoes will look like after 20 wearings. They'll look like they're ready to be thrown away. I wanted to give 2 stars just to try to be fair. The shoes are comfortable but for me, they can't look like this after 1 wearing. In the product description there's even a blurb about the leather, but this is appears to be lower grade leather that has been processed. I can get a pair of comparable shoes for $75 from Aldo. Last point - 10D is my default size but I had to put an insole in these. I'd call their 10D a 9.5D

Shoes that last

I routinely buy Ecco shoes. They last and last. These I expect to be the same. My only quibble is that these seem slightly deep and so I have to lace them as tight as they will go. I probably need to add an insole. It’s not worth deducting a star for.
