Very pleased with the performance. It turned the soil in our raised planting beds in good order and let me mix in compost and new dirt for this year's planting. It is light enough to lift into the raised beds yet strong enough to do a very thorough mixing. I also used it to pull up some grass areas between the beds. On that you had to be a little careful to let the unit do the work without pushing it down, but in the end, it tore up the grass so I could rake it out and put mulch in its place.

This thing is a beast.
Totally satisfied with small rototiller. I is light weight so I can lift it into my above ground 4' x 8' planter boxes and operate it without having to climb into the box. It goes down as deep as you want it to just by moving it back and forth while it digs. It also did a great job on the 2 foot planters along side of my house. Very easy to maneuver. I just tilled my old lawn area 24' x 18' x 6" deep and the only time it stopped (other than to give my 74 year old great-grand-mother's body a rest) was when it would occasionally jam with a rock or couldn't cut through a tough root bigger than 1/2" in diameter. Even then, it was easy to remove the rock or root and it went back to work. I was originally going to rent one but for the price of this one it is a MUCH better deal and I have it for years to come.

Tills soil really well
The soil looked dark and rich after using this cultivator. Our gardens are 2-ft by 4-ft raised boxes and all other tillers were too big to use in them. This one fit easily and worked GREAT. I wish I had purchased it a few years ago.

This is the best bang for the buck. Awesome for small projects.
We had packed dirt in most areas where grass would not grow. We used it to till the yard and plant the new grass seed. This is great for small to medium jobs.

Little but powerful
I got this because of the weeds growing in the flowerbeds alone my sidewalk. It took me about 35 minutes to do a 15 by 4 area. Live in Florida so granted our soil it not super hard. It really did a good job.

This Little Rototiller Fits the Bill!
I got this to help me break up the soil and enrich it. My yard is really just a 1" layer of sod on top of Gumbo clay! I was building flower beds and I literally had to use an axe to break the "Soil" Up. the Earthwise unit ate it up pronto! It is a tuff little thing! I love it!

a very handy tool
this is great for smaller gardens, remove any tall weeds and grass before starting tines will not turn backwards if you get hooked on something (chain-link fence) give your self 3 inches of clearance or maybe put a board along the fence. I used a 100w generator for remote areas with out problem. Good for weed control.

Tremendous help
I like that it's lightweight and so far it's proved to be sturdy and easy to operate... I'm able to quickly till up any weed growth keeping my flower areas free from encroaching weed growth
