Works as stated, sorta...
I like it! Very simple and would hard to build a waterproof version for this price. Have it directly connected to 10W solar panel to run a small pump. No issues and have not had heat issues in my tests. Will be ordering more, WAIT, see below... EDIT: It failed on June12, 2022 and had bought March 2022. Now the price is insane for replacement. Find another option, there are many here.

I used this to take the 12 volts my solar panels make and drop it to 9 volts to operate a Security camera I have in a remote location that has not an outlet

Does the Job
Working just fine for my purpose. I am using it to step down a 12v lead acid battery to 9v for operation of a Yard Guard Ultrasonic Pest Repeller in my garage. Now if only the pest repeller will work the way it is supposed to and keep mice out!

I have bought several different items from DROK. This one just like all of the others works good.

Does the job, but generates radio frequency interference.
I bought this to power a small battery-powered radio (battery eliminator). I found on the FM band, there was a fair amount of radio interference generated by the power converter. Fashioning a torroid in the feed line and re-orienting the antenna was able to get rid of most of the noise.

Worked great for hooking up my dash camera to the powered mirror in my truck. Small enough to tuck back into the casing of the mirror so you don't have wires hanging out everywhere.
