Brought my old walker into the 21st century
My physical therapist warned me that my old walker without wheels would get very tiresome after my knee surgery. I thought since I'd only be using it for about a week that it wouldn't be worth getting a new walker. After surgery the PT asked why I didn't just go on Amazon and order the wheels. Voila, who knew you could just get wheels for the old walker. We did and what a Godsend. I was already blistering on my hands in 2 days of pushing that things around without wheels.

Bought this to convert my mother's walker w/o wheels to one with wheels. Once the leg extensions of the walker were removed, trying to get the posts of the wheel extensions into the walkwer was quite tight. I almost thought it would not work as the tube diameters were almost the same (so one post could not fit within the other post), but was able to get them in and slide them up and down to the right height. The wheels are just the right hardness for use on hardwood floors... not so hard that they make a lot of noise as they roll over each wood joint on the floor, and not so soft as to put rubber marks on the floors. I mounted the wheels facing out to allow more leg room within the inside of the walker, plus that wheel orientation is much more stable for the walker. Some other wheels on Amazon people noted that they could not mount the wheels facing out, only the more conventional way of facing the wheels in. Again.. huge diff in stability of the walker with the wheels facing out... important for elders. This is a reason I did not buy the other wheels on Amazon, but got these ones for a few $$$ more. The wheels also run nice and quiet.. no sqeaking at all.. and no 'slop' in the axles so so that the wheels wobble. The wheels also roll straight and true. Some reviewers of other wheels indicated issues here.. again another reason I did not buy other wheels on Amazon. In short.. after reading the reviews of the various wheels I could have bought on Amazon... I am very satisfied with this purchase and well worth the few extra $$$ vs. buy the 'cheapest cost' ones. You will be happy too. Hope my time writing this benefits others in the same 'elder needs' situation as I am. Jim

Package of two! Work perfectly.
The description said a package of one and the picture showed one so I ordered two packages for my back wheels. It turns out that there are two wheels per package. They were very easy to install and it is doing just what I wanted to do, making the walker smooth, moving quickly. There are no brakes so do not get these if you need to walk slowly. They fit as if they were perfectly designed for this walker. They are not returnable so make sure you get the correct number of wheels.

Added to the front of a walker
I needed to use a walker and my walker did not have wheels on it. I used it for a few days and it took a lot of lifting with the arms. A friend let me use hers that had wheels. What a difference. So I bought these instead of getting a whole new walker. Easy to install Took the place of the tennis balls on the front!

Could not use as universal fit was incorrect. Contacted seller who refunded price but did not want the product returned. I can't use them but got my money back.

Work BEAUTIFULLY.
I bought the Drive Medical Universal 5" Walker Wheels, Gray for my Walker in September. When I was in the Hospital recovering from Day Surgery and walking holding onto their IV Pole. My Brother noticed that my back was much straighter. He took my walker and adjusted the height so it was around the same height as the Handle on the IV Pole. He tried to adjust the back wheels. . The original Wheels I had on the back only went up to about 6 notches./inches. As a result my Walker was on an angle and not sturdy enough to make me feel 100% safe using it. After searching online I saw that Drive DID have wheels that did go up 8 notches that you can attach to the back of the walker. Their site told me they were available at different stores including Shoppers Home Health Care. When I phoned the stores closest to Me, I found they didn't have them. As opposed to driving from Store to Store, or calling each store to be told "No" or to drive out there to pick them up, I wondered if I could order them online. I copied the name and serial number of the Wheels and found them here on Amazon.ca and placed an order. They arrived on time, and were easy to attach to my Walker. I may very well order a couple more in the Summer to have on hand. Thank YOU Amazon for selling the Drive Wheels. Please continue to sell these Drive Walker Wheels as I think a lot of people will find they come in very handy. Do I recommend these to anyone who wants to move a little faster and needs a higher setting on both the front and back wheels? Yes I do. For the price, they are great.

Not compatible with all aluminum walkers and not returnable
Although the aluminum tube fits, the height adjustment holes are too small, and it doesn't work. Much to my surprise, the wheels are not returnable under any circumstance...a new low for Amazon.
